Happy weekend!
As many of you know we have had a lot of snow here this winter ~
so I am beating any winter blahs with lots of summer color in our
little sunroom.
The sun has been shining the last few days and snow is melting
and inside the sunroom it is warm and cozy.
I love having tea or lunch in here so I have surrounded myself
with some beautiful flowers. It didn't hurt that there was a big
clearance on them this week so I got lots of flowers for the
cost of one bouquet of roses a few days before.
I have got lots of enjoyment from them already and I hope you are enjoying them too!
The hydrangeas are such a beautiful color!
Tulips and roses are part of the mix.
Of course we always have our tea!
This cute boot came from Cool Breeze Garden Center.
I hope you can linger for awhile and bask in the sunlight here in
our little sun room ~ it is sure to chase away the winter blues.
Have a happy weekend!
Carolyn
We have a very mild winter in France, but I also enjoy let the spring in with flowers and bouquet. Love your sunroom dear Carolyn.

Ooohhh so beautiful.Love the ceramic "boot" container. ShirleyN.Z.
ReplyDeleteYou have such talent for mixing different flowers. It always helps me when picking out my own flowers.
ReplyDeleteYou would almost think it is Spring looking at how pretty and floral your sunroom is, Carolyn! What a mood booster. I think that with more snow in our forecast, too {we did have a few 50 degree days} that I will have to pick up some flowers this week when I go grocery shopping.
ReplyDeleteBoth you and Sandi seem to always find great deals on flowers. Yours are beautiful in the various vases, especially the blue ball jars.
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn...
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the darling flowers and their colors. So refreshing! Thank you for sharing.
Also, thanks for your visit to my post! Susan
that is a bright and cheerful sunroom for sure! Love all the color!! Love that floral teapot too!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely, fresh flowers remind us of Spring. You haven't long to wait now. We are waiting for Autumn, just as nice. x
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait for this deep freeze to lift and spring to return. The tulips are always my favourite at this time of year.
Next time I am on your Island, I hope to visit Kool Breeze Farms in Summerside to thank them in person for their beautiful support of Pink Days In Bloom (last summer when Landcape NB's Jim Landry rode his pink bicycle across PEI), together with Red Oak Landscaping in Winsloe and Beyond the Garden Landscaping in Rustico (I hope I didn't miss anyone). It's hard to believe we are gearing up for another season already!
Enjoy the vacation from the garden for another while. Wishing you and Andrew a beautiful week ahead,
Linda at Beautiful Ideas
P.S. I finally found a certain magazine but they are selling fast here! Lol
Such beautiful images, always!
ReplyDeleteI really love the way you have created an oasis of summer in the midst of winter snows... and I'm almost sure I could smell the flowers about halfway down the page :-) JJ
Beautiful flowers! the colors are so pretty. How nice to be warm in a sunroom with all the snow outside. We found some really good deals on flowers after Valentine's Day too.
ReplyDeletePretty pinks! Tulips - my favorite flower! Thanks for brightening my day.
ReplyDeleteHow very beautiful and charming! I've missed the sun so much, for we've been snowed in several times already. We take refuge in the sunny sitting rooms upstairs, having our brunches and late lunches there in the sunshine and pretty florals.
ReplyDeleteChris keeps me supplied with fresh flowers all year, and I just put four tiny almost-chartreuse mum-things along with two valiant pink carnations from a lovely arrangement he brought me on the 4th into a tiny crystal vase. They've hung on this long, the faithful little things.
Yours are simply splendid, with all the pastels and the blue masons and arrangements in such a romantic setting in the sun.
I'm marking this one to come back to when the snow flies again---and it probably will. I so enjoy seeing all the special touches which make your home so welcoming and warm.

Your spring flowers look beautiful Carolyn! What a delight it must be to have a sun room like yours! Happy to hear the snow is melting. Hope spring will come your way soon too.
ReplyDeleteAre you happy with your new camera Carolyn? I am so glad I bought a new one too. I have been experimenting in my garden today. There is still so much I have to learn..., but I like the results!
Have a lovely week!

Wonderful, thank you for the taste of spring Carolyn. The sunroom looks so inviting with the vases of flowers. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI read your blog each day in my inbox and always enjoy it. My own house is crowded, messy, noisy and unmatched but I love the peaceful inspiration I get from your photos and the look into another way of life.
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm homeschooling 5 kids, working from home and homesteading (we cook from scratch, grow an organic garden, gather wild foods and so on) so it's my season for dust bunnies and chaos, but hopefully I can incorporate just a little bit more beauty with some fresh flowers now and then and a bit of nice china when we have snacks and things like that.
Thank you for giving me those little ideas amongst my messes. :)
