Good evening!
As I mentioned in my last post Old Quebec is beautiful at any time but after dark it becomes
magical! Night time photography is not a skill I have come even close to mastering but I hope
you will get a glimpse of the beauty anyway.
The little church above had a beautiful candlelit service on Saturday night when we were there.
A perfect Christmas card!
It is a photographers paradise..... Georgianna, you would love it!
Romantique, n'est-ce pas?
There was a German Christmas Market when we were there.
I remember this shop when we were there in the Fall with lots of corn husks
decorating the outside then.

ReplyDeleteI think you captured that wonderful city's magic perfectly, Carolyn - wow.
ReplyDeleteI just told my husband that Quebec has moved up on my bucket list now - you have inspired me to get out of town and go there one day soon.
I would love to drop everything and just go now. Seriously.
Oh, it's so magical, Carolyn. Thanks for sharing Old Quebec at night.
ReplyDeleteI've been to Quebec City a few times but never at Christmas time. Seeing your beautiful photos has made me want to go, so hopefully I am fortunate enough to do so in the future.

Carolyn I'd say you are doing quite well with your night time photography… these are so stunning. The first I thought was a scene from a Christmas card. Thanks for sharing all of them.. I think I want to visit Quebec City!
ReplyDeletebreathtaking photos! My father was a native and in his honour this year I am planning to learn French and visit this amazing city! Bucket list.
ReplyDeleteDziekuję ci za takie piękne zdjęcia. Pozdrawiam
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, these are truly the most magical, Christmas-y photos I've seen this year, or maybe any year!
ReplyDeleteAnd I was just scrolling along, oohing and ahhing and then saw your note to me. You got me chuckling as you are so right! I would love it.
Well, consider I was there in spirit with you. Perhaps one day we'll visit there at the same time.
Until then thank you for this gorgeous infusion of Christmas spirit. I think you did a wonderful job with the night photography and the falling snow is a perfect touch.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Georgianna

ReplyDeleteTruly beautiful, Carolyn! I haven't been there yet but my son got to visit when he was eleven. He went up with his class in Danny Murphy's bus. He actually celebrated his birthday while there; exciting for a little guy!

Wow Wow Wow!!!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are so beautiful. I have put Quebec during Christmas on my bucket list for places to go in my life time. The first photo reminds me of a place that was in the movie with Leonardo Decaprio "Catch me if you Can". The scene was when he was making money in a small town in France where his mother grew up.
Old Quebec is a very beutyfool town. I was there in 1980 :). Thank you so much for your foto :) Audrey60 from Poland :)
