The Boathouse Porch

                                                    Hello everyone!
I hope you enjoyed the holiday weekend. We had fun having our grandchildren up for a sleepover. It was nice to see them all having fun together-we have 9 grandchildren from ages 4 to 15.
We are getting a good rain here now - it is giving the garden a good pick me up!
Anyway, we are down on the boathouse porch today(the pics were taken last                                  week). On the door of the boathouse a little bouquet welcomes you.
I am enjoying the abundance of flowers for bouquets inside the boathouse.
On the french doors going into the tiny conservatory another bouquet.I love the doorknobs from Simply Primative a lovely local shop.

So lets sit out on the porch and enjoy a cup of tea and watch the ducks and geese                               on our pond.

                                                  Peeking out the window.
Relax and read a book if you like.
I have a big pot of tea for you to enjoy.
                                            And a pretty teacup too.
I love this new double white hollyhock.
Hope you have time to enjoy the boathouse porch for awhile as it is very soothing to the                 soul to sit and watch nature for awhile.

Today,I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday and Bernideen's Tea Time Blog for Tea in the Garden.

Thank you for visiting,
Carolyn

  1. It is so very pretty at your little boathouse, Carolyn. I love all the soft pastels and wonderful vintage furnishings. We had a lot of rain since yesterday too. It poured all night long. Things are still blooming beautifully. Have a great week! Blessings, Pam

  8. Dear Carolyn, it all looks delightful and so relaxing. I think I would be in a dream in such a beautiful place with the flowers and everything and a lovely cup of tea. Your grandchildren are so lucky!. Talking of tea and grandchildren I must get myself a cup of tea before my grandson arrives for a sleepover (aged 2 years 4 months)

  19. Your gardens got a good drink today, didn't they? Boy did that rain ever come down!
Your boathouse is a treasure, Carolyn and I love, love, love all the aqua touches! I like the Simply Primitive store too and I frequent it quite often. Charlottetown can always use another shop or two. The aqua teacup is so pretty and I like the teapot too. Thank you for joining me for Tea Time.

  21. Hi Carolyn,
I just love your blog... your wonderful home, lovely gardens, beautiful grandchildren and your fantastic sense of style. I just read your post on your dreamy boathouse and I must say I love, love ,love it. I feel in love with the door knobs from the store you spoke of (simply primitive) I was hoping they would have a online store where I could purchase these. I was wondering if you knew if they still carried these? I sure hope they do as I would love to purchase them for my home. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with all of us. I can be contacted at Lddesign65@aol.com

    Thank you,
    Lorene
