Hello everyone,
I hope you are enjoying this first weekend of September. Already, I am noticing a warmer
golden light streaming in through the windows.
I have been playing a little in photoshop elements today-I have so much I would love to learn about this program. I hope to do some tutorials when the weather gets cooler but I am not in any rush
-I want to enjoy these final days of summer for awhile yet.
What about you are you looking forward to Autumn or hanging onto summer for as long as
you can?
We are having all of our grandchildren up for a sleepover shortly so I better get ready for them - it should be a lively time!
Thank you for visiting,
Carolyn
Dear Carolyn,

I have been away most of the summer visiting other countries so I am holding tightly to the last of summer. But the garden has moved to autumn without me:) Have a wonderful week. Take care, Jen
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to autumn, it's my favourite season. The light streaming through your window sure does make the sitting area look even cozier.

Sunlight streaming in adds a whole different dimension to a room. Your photos really capture the beauty, Carolyn.

ReplyDeleteLovely, Carolyn. Very appealing images. Susan
ReplyDeleteIts such a beautiful room and what a lovely photo you've done with the sun streaming in. It has a look of fall even though we know it's still summer! You've done some nice mosaics.
ReplyDeleteThe light has changed a lot the past 2 weeks hasn't it? I'm looking forward to apple picking but I'm hanging on to summer as long as I can and as long as the nice warm weather stays. I've started fall decorating though. I like the colours of autumn. Have a wonderful sleepover with your grandkids. Sounds like a fun time. Pamela
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty photos. Your rooms are so inviting and warm. I do love fall but I certainly enjoy all that summer has to offer. Enjoy your precious grandchildren.

When you live in Arizona, fall can't get here soon enough, but it will not show itself here for another month or two. I feel cooler just looking at your beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteI do love fall but I enjoy very much the last of summer, the transition between the seasons when the light is less intense, the shadows lengthen and things suddenly take on another dimension. There is an "atmosphere" in the air.
ReplyDeleteHave a very good week.

Beautiful photos, Carolyn! Yes, I am looking forward to Fall. Although it wasn't as hot and humid here this year, these past few weeks have been. I'm about ready for cooler temps! I'm looking forward to getting my Fall decorations out. The only thing I will miss is how it stays lighter out later.
ReplyDeleteI love September golden light! It is so warm.
ReplyDeleteI love your home Carolyn, it is even more magic with this light!

So pretty, Carolyn. I love the lace and your frenchy pillows. The chintz teacup is sweet too. No, I'm not at all ready to give up Summer. Autumn can take as long as it likes to arrive. Enjoy your little ones.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
There's nothing like the golden light of autumn. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe light in your picture is amazing, so warm and golden. We've had a perfect summer in Brittany, so I'll be sorry when it goes away, but chilly evenings are also a good opportunity to have a hot tea on the sofa!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos....love the way you take pictures.
ReplyDeleteXO,
Christine
Beautiful photos! Love the curtains! Where did you purchase these?
ReplyDeleteKelly
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI bought the curtains here locally at a shop that
has since closed down.
