Hello everyone,
When we arrived at our charming little Twine Cottage(a rental) it was a beautiful sunny day so one of the first things I wanted to do was have an afternoon tea.
So I got out the tablecloth I had bought and a couple of pretty pillows.
And the pretty teacups I had picked up at a charity shop.
We had such a sweet little secluded garden with an amazing number of birds singing their little hearts out!
Building a nest in the hedge.
The view from the upstairs window.
I didn't do much shopping in England but I did buy this pitcher.
The magnolias were pretty there as well but when I got home to our own garden I was happy to see ours were blooming as well.
I am joining Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for the big birthday party for Pink Saturday.
I am also joining The Rose Garden in Malevik for show off Saturday.
Thank you for visiting me today and enjoy your weekend!
Carolyn

This looks so lovely! :) And I adore that tablecloth! Do you know where you got it from? It would be perfect for my little girls birthday party as she was asking for a tea party :) And she loves gingham a lot :)
ReplyDeleteDear Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteYou bring beauty wherever you go. I can't believe you could set up such a beautiful tea away from home. I don't know how you managed it, but you did. Gorgeous blooms and photos and the one with nest makings in the bird's peak, is just awesome.
Can't wait to go back to the Cotswolds. We had hoped to go this spring but have to wait until next spring, due to damage and work to be done from Sandy.
Chipping Camden is so full of charm. It seems to me, you chose the best time of year.
So curious, did the cups go home with you or were they left at the cottage for the next person?
