Time for Tea

                                                                  Hello everyone,
It was sunny but cooler here today but I enjoyed spending the day in the garden doing spring garden chores-pruning,weeding,and my favorite chore, dividing and moving some perennials around the garden.
Anyway, after a day in the garden it is nice to come indoors and enjoy a nice cup of tea.

This pretty teapot was a gift from my husband a few years ago.
Love all the blooms on this geranium!
I have never been so absent from my blog but with all the spring cleaning indoors and out I just haven't had the time for taking pictures etc..I hope you will be patient with me a little longer as soon the spring chores will be done and there will be lots to blog about!

Today,I am joining Tea Time Tuesday at Rose Chintz Cottage,
and A Return to Loveliness at A Delightsome Life.

Thank you for visiting me,
Carolyn

  1. Very pretty photos Carolyn. It's so nice to get out in the garden now and get some digging around and cleaning up done. I have a lot of work ahead of me and I only have 3 small beds. I just don't have the strength or energy to do much this year so I'll take it slow. Enjoy your garden days. Blessings, Pamela

  3. Hi Carolyn,
It is always so relaxing to visit your posts and have tea with you! Your tea setting is so lovely and your geranium is blooming beautifully. Still cannot get out to my garden. Our snow is slowing melting and the forcast for this weekend is in the 60's! I will be gardening then!

  4. Lovely gift from your husband. I would love to have a few tea pots like that. Where is the best way to look for them? Ebay has some choices but I am not sure what to get.
Lovely post. Have a great week!

  5. Hi Angela,
Thank you for your visit. I have found all my teapots in small gift shops mostly locally or at Winner's (tjmaxx).
I am not an eBay shopper, too many local temptations!

    Good luck!

  10. That is a gorgeous teapot, Carolyn. Very pretty teacup too and your geranium is beautiful! Your teacup almost matches my 'new to me' plate. It must be a little cool in the garden these days. Warmer days ahead though. Thanks for coming to tea and enjoy your week. Perhaps I'll see you on Saturday at Lori's.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  33. I've been thinking about you quite a bit this past week! I was so happy, when I got back from California, to see that the winter had melted away and spring had DEFINITELY got its foot in the door (green grass and peepers and buds on the lilac hedge! =) ) I was so happy to see that so many of my plants had made it through the winter - especially the three new clematis that I've planted near my bay windows - hooray!!! =) You know - I look at a clematis and think of you! ;) Lilacs, too! =D

Then, today, I had a chance to have lunch with a family from PEI - the Sky family! They're giving a concert at our church tonight. Do you know them? They've invited us to come up and stay with them on the island. I hope they realize that I have every intention of taking them up on that!!! =D

er, so, see you in August! (laughing out loud - a girl can dream!! ;) )

Friendly and happy wishes to you! =)

    xxo

  34. Dear Carolyn,

It's a shame you live so far away, we could do a teacup swap otherwise :-)!

Happy to hear you are at work in the garden once more. Looking forward to see your garden come alive again.

    Have a lovely weekend!
