Spring Cleaning

                                                                    Hello everyone,
Hope you are having a good week. I am still doing my spring cleaning here and garden season has arrived also~ so I have been a bit lax here on my blog lately.
A couple of days ago, I gave our little upstair sunroom a cleaning and when it was done I had to take a few shots of it.
It was a beautiful sunny day so it was quite enjoyable to do some tidying and cleaning in there. My daughter gave me back a little crib quilt that I had bought for her a few years ago so I thought it would add some charm to the sunroom table.

I keep my pink and white china in the old cupboard on the wall in the sun room.
My geraniums from last year are blooming now.
A sunny corner with a book for you to read~ unless you would like to help me finish my spring cleaning!
Our little sunroom is off our bath.
And our bath is off our bedroom , yesterday I finished spring cleaning them-yea!
I have had moments of thinking a little one bedroom cottage by the sea would be so much easier to clean, but  I must forge ahead and soon I will have a clean house from top to bottom - Then I can get out to the garden and enjoy the warm sunshine!
We have  our first visitors from Japan coming in about four weeks and have several tours already booked from then until Oct. It is looking like a good year!

Thank you for visiting,
Carolyn

  16. Dear Carolyn,

It must be quite a job dusting all that porcelain! What an amazing collection of pink and whit china you have. It's a joy to have a look in your cupboard.

Have a good time in the garden too. I was there yesterday, enjoying the first spring flowers!

  17. I love the look of a freshly-cleaned room. Your sunroom is gorgeous. And I especially love that you winter over your geraniums--I have done that and I love to rub a leaf on a winter day to enjoy the scent. Keep up the good work and may you have a successful and profitable tour season.

  20. Sorry, I would rather prefer to sit and read than to clean, lol. Even though having a house much smaller than you, I think it's like heaven when the cleaning is done!!
Hope you have a nice weekend.

  21. Hi Carolyn,
Since you are making such progress, wanna come to my house to help when you're done? What??? hahaha
That pink and creamy gravy boat and that pink plate to the right of it rimmed in roses are very dreamy. The sweet quilt is just the size for your table! Pretty, pretty.

  22. Carolyn - I just don't know how you do it all, girl. It all looks soooo beautiful!! You are so lucky to have all of that sunshine streaming in your windows - and it looks like things are blooming outside??? Spring has taken a stand-still down here, and it actually snowed today. UGH!! So your photos truly made my day. ♥!

  25. HI, CAROLYN
FIRST... LOVE YOUR BLOG, YOUR GARDEN AND YOUR HOME.
WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT YOU PLACE YOUR DISHES FOR BLADE FOOT?
I PUT SOME DISHES ON MY FOOT CABINET, WHEN THE DOOR WAS OPEN THE DISHES AND TOOK THE FLOOR SLIPPED SOME LADY CARLYLE ... CRIED ....
FOR THAT REASON I WANT TO KNOW HOW YOU DO TO LEAVE THE DISHES ON FOOT WITHOUT SLIP...

  26. Could you tell me which pattern the plates are with the pink border around them and floral center? (I saw others you had also that had a light blue or mint green border with the floral center). I love these!
    Thanks for any infomation!
    Beautiful blog.
