Hello everyone,
Yesterday was a nice day here with the feeling of spring in the air~ a perfect day to be invited to Janice's lovely home for afternoon tea.Janice is putting the finishing touches on the table for the seven of us-all tea time kindred spirits.
Janice and I seem to like a lot of the same things as we have some teapots and other china in common.
We had 3 different teas to choose from as well as some homemade goodies.
Janice was kind enough to let me take some quick photos to share with you. This is their formal livingroom. I didn't get the fireplace and mantel on the left but if I didn't go quick I might have missed out on all the chatter to say nothing of the tea treats!
Downstairs there is a cosy family room .
This is one of their cosy guest rooms. Love that teapot on the bed tray too.
And another lovely bedroom with lots of treasures.
Janice has lots of pretty details in every room.
And of course I love this little vignette in the guest bath.
And now on to one of my favorite rooms the master bedroom.
We also share a love for toile and this footstool that Janice recovered is so pretty with the tea tray on it.
I could enjoy a cup of tea here and a good book.
Janice and her husband gave this room a makeover a few months ago and all the mahogany furniture was painted with Annie Sloan paint and I love it !
Thank you Janice for hosting another lovely afternoon tea . -we all enjoyed it so much! Thank you also for letting me share your beautiful home.
I am joining Bernideen's Tea Time blog for Tea with Friends..
Hope you enjoyed the tea and tour also!
Carolyn

ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn - Would you please as Janice the name and pattern of her lovely teapot, cream & sugar set ( crisscrossed rose pattern). I had such a set many years ago and it broke in one of our many moves! I have been trying to find and replace it since but have had no luck. Any help you or Janice can provide is appreciated! Love the tea party, I need to have one soon too. Patty/BC

Hello Carolyn, my fellow Canadian blogger and tea drinker. I love your friend’s house and the charming, comfy country feel her home has. Toile is so lovely anywhere, isn’t it? I especially like the mix and match tea cups in that rosy pink.

Hello Patti,
ReplyDeleteThe teapot that you asked about is a Sadler teapot made in England. I actually have the same set-hopefully you will be able to find one too.
