Welcome!
Since Valentine's Day is this week I am using my most romantic pink china for tea today.
As many of you may remember this pretty tea pot and matching heart shaped plate were a gift from my romantic hubby a few years ago. They came from a local gift shop and there are no markings on the bottom in case you were wondering.
Pretty pink tea cups for our tea today.
I Love these Teacups too.
Help yourself to the scotch cookies-don't worry I have more but I wanted you to see the pretty pattern on the plate.
An old hand crocheted heart.
Doesn't that cake look delicious-did I fool you even for a second. Love my vintage pillbox hat but a cake would taste better!
A hand painted tea cup.
We had a beautiful sunny day here today but I hear some snow is headed our way again tonight, followed by rain~oh well it is only February!
I am hosting a small tea party for some friends on Wednesday so I am looking forward to that.
I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage today for Tea Time Tuesday.
Hope you all have a lovely romantic week!
Carolyn
I'm glad your weather has calmed. Your table looks very pretty and I love the tea-cups. They are all gorgeous. I bet it is a real treat to go to one of your tea-parties. Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteSo, so pretty!! I used to have a crocheted heart just like that but it went thrifting. ;( It was always on our sewing box at home and held straight pins.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful teacups, Carolyn! I love the different patterns. We had such a humid Summer last year, I'm not in any hurry for it to get too warm too quick. I could do without snow though and so far we have been lucky here.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty. Your hubby is a real sweetheart :) Love the hyacinths in the collage - they are a pretty color. ~Susie~
ReplyDeleteSuch a romantic Valentine's Day tea table with pretty china and delicious cookies!
ReplyDeleteOh Carolyn, I love your vintage croqueted heart! My mother had a similar one and I have it somewhere. I must look for it. I am so sentimental.
We had four inches of rain Sunday and more to come for the next two days BUT we need it!
Such a pretty setting and so sweet!
ReplyDeleteDear Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteYour valentine tea time is beautiful. Love your pretty teapot and teacups. Lovely setting. Thanks for sharing.
hugs,
Lisa
Your teapot and heart shaped plate are absolutely beautiful!!! I'm so sorry I live so far away - I'd love to have tea with you.
ReplyDeleteDear Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteHow I love everything about that teapot-the shape, the base, the roses...it is so lovely and the plate too! And your darling hubby bought it for you...perfect!
Wish I could visit-in any season-you make them all so beautiful-you bring out the best in all.

Such a pretty post Carolyn. Your pink and floral teapot is one of my favorites and the pink hat looks nice on the cake plate.

Hello Carolyn
ReplyDeleteYour hubby chose a very pretty teapot and matching heart dish, a design to rival Royal Albert, which I love.
I knew it was a hat and being a pillbox, reminds me of Jackie O, whom I admired.
It's nice to visit so many friends for this special tea, and look at all the calories we're saving.
Judith
Hi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI love all the rosy and romantic china, and even a heart shaped plate, SWEET!! and your hat is delicious and calorie free:-)
Thanks for sharing tea :-)
Hugs,
Bella
Oh, all that china is so pretty...so rosy and so romantic!
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteWell, I'll eat my hat! It does resemble a coconut- covered creation and looks almost good enough to eat, doesn't it? Sweet. I am such a Pink gal, for so many reasons, as you know :-) Oh, how I wish we lived near. What fun we would have! Lol Tea parties are a LOVE. I can't wait to see the photos of your get-together. I bet you gals can get pretty wild - optimum word being 'pretty'. Haha I'll look forward to a day when we can again share a cuppa. Sigh.
Hugs,

Oh Carolyn, when I saw the "cake," I thought, now how did she make that "lacy" outer layer? Then I read where it was a hat. You had me fooled! Ha! It looks so pretty.
ReplyDeleteJust loved the tea pot and heart-shaped plate, too. Very romantic looking.
Loved all. Susan
That was a delightful and pleasant thing for me to view at work on my break, a breath of fresh air.
ReplyDeleteThank for posting it.

LOVE that hat! I admire them every time I see on in a vintage shop. I would really love it it those were to come back in style. It's the only type of hat that even remotely looks good on me.
ReplyDeleteYour crocheted heart is really pretty too. I collect those.
This is my most favorite Tea Pot in the world..every time I see it...my heart skips a beat...I have always wanted to know who it was made by... but I just read it didn't have a marking to tell...boo hoo...with love Janice
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn,
