Pink Valentine's Day Tea

                                                                  Welcome!

Since Valentine's Day is this week I am using my most romantic pink china for tea today.
As many of you may remember this pretty tea pot and matching heart shaped plate were a gift from my romantic hubby a few years ago. They came from a local gift shop and there are no markings on the bottom in case you were wondering.
Pretty pink tea cups for our tea today.
                                                     I  Love these Teacups too.

Help yourself to the scotch cookies-don't worry I have more but I wanted you to see the pretty pattern on the plate.
                                                   An old hand crocheted heart.
Doesn't that cake look delicious-did I fool you even for a second. Love my vintage pillbox hat but a cake would taste better!

                                                           A hand painted tea cup.

We had a beautiful sunny day here today but I hear some snow is headed our way again tonight, followed by rain~oh well it is only February!

I am hosting a small tea party  for some friends on Wednesday so I am looking forward to that.

I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage today for Tea Time Tuesday.

Hope you all have a lovely romantic week!

                                                                Thank you for visiting,
                                                                                      Carolyn

  2. So, so pretty!! I used to have a crocheted heart just like that but it went thrifting. ;( It was always on our sewing box at home and held straight pins.

  3. Beautiful teacups, Carolyn! I love the different patterns. We had such a humid Summer last year, I'm not in any hurry for it to get too warm too quick. I could do without snow though and so far we have been lucky here.

Oh Carolyn, I love your vintage croqueted heart! My mother had a similar one and I have it somewhere. I must look for it. I am so sentimental.

We had four inches of rain Sunday and more to come for the next two days BUT we need it!

  12. Hello Carolyn
Your hubby chose a very pretty teapot and matching heart dish, a design to rival Royal Albert, which I love.
I knew it was a hat and being a pillbox, reminds me of Jackie O, whom I admired.
It's nice to visit so many friends for this special tea, and look at all the calories we're saving.

  15. Hi Carolyn,
Well, I'll eat my hat! It does resemble a coconut- covered creation and looks almost good enough to eat, doesn't it? Sweet. I am such a Pink gal, for so many reasons, as you know :-) Oh, how I wish we lived near. What fun we would have! Lol Tea parties are a LOVE. I can't wait to see the photos of your get-together. I bet you gals can get pretty wild - optimum word being 'pretty'. Haha I'll look forward to a day when we can again share a cuppa. Sigh.

  20. Oh Carolyn, when I saw the "cake," I thought, now how did she make that "lacy" outer layer? Then I read where it was a hat. You had me fooled! Ha! It looks so pretty.

Just loved the tea pot and heart-shaped plate, too. Very romantic looking.

    Loved all. Susan

  34. LOVE that hat! I admire them every time I see on in a vintage shop. I would really love it it those were to come back in style. It's the only type of hat that even remotely looks good on me.
Your crocheted heart is really pretty too. I collect those.
