Grapes of Wrath

                                                                      Hello everyone,
It is a sunny but breezy day here today but a perfect day to enjoy a break in our vine covered terrace(gazebo). The vines are virginia creeper on the front but on the side and back we have a grape vine.
And the grapes are starting to ripen.
So let's enjoy a glass of grape juice with some cheese and a handful of grapes.

Some of the grapes are still green-mostly the ones inside as they are not getting
                                     the sun.
But the grapes in the sun are turning purple.
Our bouquet today is some hydrangeas from the garden.

These cute little cherubs are playing in the corner of the terrace.

Well, these are not really the 'grapes of wrath' but it was the only tittle that came to mind. The only problem with these grapes is that something seems to know the perfect time to harvest and overnight they can disappear-we blame the raccoons but have never caught them in the act.
I hope wherever you are that Hurricane Leslie didn't cause any really serious harm. We got several inches of rain that we needed  anyway and  thankfully we escaped the high winds.

I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday today.

Take care,
Carolyn

  1. I love grapes and your pictures are so pretty. I am 58 years old and just recently started to eat red and black grapes. Always loved the green ones, but now love all of them.

  4. I like the taste the look and the smell of grapes but they don't like me too much so I never eat them, we have a vine but it didn't produce last year maybe it's too old now, so this year we will just wait and see how it goes

  7. Just resting now after a very busy day here. Love the grapes and I relish the cherbs as I broke my very big and heavy pineapple this afternoon.

It fell off the steps as I was moving it.. or trying to move it. It was 50+ pounds. I broke in two and then tons of little pieces off of them. *Sigh* Yes, another will come along. But I'm ok and nothing hurt, but my ego.

Thanks for making me feel better with cheese and grapes.. perfect nibble items.

    warm hugs,
