Hello everyone,
Queen Anne's Lace grows prolifically in ditches etc. around the Island, so some might consider it a weed but I love it's delicate beauty. However, not to be overlooked in this post is my beautiful new tea set! You know how I love my dishes. It is Royal Crownford Ironstone and it has the wheat pattern on it. I already have the large pitcher and wash basin from this pattern.
The bouquet of Queen Anne's Lace on the window sill of the cottage.
My old $1 chair from Coulson's in Summerside.
Speaking of lace - I got this beautiful lace tablecloth recently for $1.50! I do love my bargains!!! I should mention that the tea set came from Hardy's in Charlottetown. The tea pot, large creamer and cups and saucers was $25.
So delicate.
Isn't it amazing something that grows so easily is so beautiful?

I know you Open House Will Be a great success! Your Queen Anne's post is lovely!
Lovely whites for White Wednesday, Carolyn!
I shall be at your tour in spirit tomorrow - lucky folks who are able to attend!
It is definitely wonderful to see the delicate Queen Anne's Lace bouquet especially after spending the day in a stinky ;ol house that's being repainted. Thanks for sharing :)
The Queen Anne's Lace looks lovely in your white teapot. Hope to see you again tomorrow evening.
Blessings,
Sandi
I love - love Queen Anne's Lace. And I've tried numerous times - unsuccessfully - to replant it from the ditches to my flower beds. :( One of these days... (and your little floral photo shoot - perfect!)
OOOh I wish I lived closer to visit.
I love Queen Anne Lace,I have it growing too. It comes up every year.
Your china is lovely. xxoo
I haven't seen queen anne lace in my area but we have something very close to it growing in the Blue Mountains.

I also think Queen Anne's Lace is so lovely, Carolyn.
Your old chair is unique, the tablecloth is a stunner, and the white ironstone is quite lovely. All in all, a most enjoyable post! Susan
Hi Carolyn,
White Wheat has always been one of my faves, too!!! I have a large jug from my mom-in-law. It once belonged to her grandmother. And, about 20 years ago I bought a medium size jug. What a beauty collection you have there! And, at a bargain! If I had seen that when you did, you would have had to wrestle me to the floor for it! LOL
Hugs,
Linda
P.S. Will write next week after The Tea Garden...
I'll have to look for some!
Oh my goodness the Queen Anne's Lace is so beautiful. This post brings back so many memories as a child. I lived in upperstate NY and there was QAL all over the place in the spring summer....it just grew wild everywhere, fields, ditches, side of the road, you name it. It was one of my favorite "wild flowers." Not sure if it really is a wild flower or not though. Thanks for choosing this as a topic today!
I so wish I could go on one of your garden tours! I think Queens lace is lovely too...especially being shown off in your house!
How could anyone slight such delicate beauty and call it a weed; doesn't even matter weed or not I love what I call WEED FLOWERS!
JH
I too admire Queen Anne's Lace, so delicate yet so vigilant! Lovely new tea set. I only wish I lived close by so I could enjoy your garden tour!

Thank you for visiting me and for your lovely comment.
What a beautiful blog!
Gorgeous photos!
I love Queen Anne's Lace! It's such a pretty delicate flower. Everything is scorched here! All of my gardens have suffered badly this summer. I can't wait for Fall! Maybe things will recover.
What wonderful bargains! Love the china and that dollar chair!
Will visit again soon.

Много красиви снимки, обичам всичко да е в бяло.
Поздрави и хубав ден от мен.
Oh I definitely don't think Queen Annes' Lace should ever be considered a weed! It is so beautiful.
Blessings,
Amy Jo
Queen Anne's Lace is growing in abundance right now in KY. It must be treated for insects before bringing inside. We have a florist friend to used a huge amount of Queen Anne's Lace to decorate for her daughter's wedding. It was beautiful!
I love Queen Anne's lace. And it looks beautiful in your white pitcher. If I lived closer I would be at your garden walk in a heart beat!

I've noticed how much Queen Anne's Lace is around this year! It must love the hot dry weather. The tea set is lovely too. Perfect for summer bouquets!
Beautiful images with your Queen Anne's lace. Good luck with the open house.

Hi Carolyn
I'm wondering if you've ever tried drying the queens anne lace? I am having a wedding in october and was planning to do basketball size centerpieces of babys breath but it is a little more than i want to spend. The queens anne lace is in full bloom everywhere here and it would be awesome to be able to dry it and use it instead. And FREE:)) Thanks for any help! I love them before they open up too. They look like little wirey birds nests:)
