Hello everyone,
How quickly the month is slipping by! I am sure you are all busy getting shopping, baking and decorating done. I am looking forward to a Christmas baking day soon but I do have my decorating done-one of the perks of being on a house tour!
Anyway,I shared the dining part of our kitchen a few days ago but I thought you might like to see the rest of the kitchen.Although our home is 95 years old the kitchen was redone about six years ago.
The cupboards were built by Joe Mitchell , a local cabinet maker and I am very happy with them. They are a creamy white with a glaze over them - very easy to care for.
I like having some touches of red to tie the cupboard area in with the dining area.
These are the original floors. The stove is built into the island.
The dining area for those who missed that post.
Well, now you have seen the rest of the kitchen so the family room will be next.Thank you for visiting me,
Carolyn
Your kitchen is beautiful!!! I love white kitchens and hopefully one day will finally pay to have ours done or do it myself ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays!
Lovely, very elegant yet warm and cozy. I love the red and white color scheme with the wood floors. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen looks so warm and comfy the type of room everyone likes to hang out in. I so enjoyed all the beautiful pics from Cottage of the Month.I think I must look at them at least once if not more a day.Such a warm picture perfect cottage.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Carolyn! I love your cabinets and the touches of red you have in here. Definitely a magazine worthy kitchen!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely Carolyn! The red is a perfect with your cabinets and they really suit the character of your Home. I finally got my cabbage rolls done tonight while my Sweetie is away on Business. I use sour cabbage so the Condo really needs aired out.. good thing the weather is so nice. Have a wonderful time doing your baking. Happy Holidays to you & your Family.

Your kitchen is charming. You must enjoy cooking in such a lovely atmosphere. I would love to live in an old house again. The house i grew up in must be 112 years old now.

May you have a sweet Christmas Season with many blessings,

ReplyDeleteGreetings from Australia♥
Your kitchen and dining area are so lovely with a simple elegance I have come to expect from everything you touch.
ReplyDeleteBut I must admit I had a hard time focusing on to much detail after spotting those adorable sheep figurines on the window sill...I adore sheep and can't wait to add real ones to our land, but also always on the lookout for some charming sheep statues also.
Blessings Kelsie
Very beautiful! I am truly enjoying the tour. :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite type of cupboards. This is a dream!!
I have been enjoying your virtual tour...but how great it would be to tour in person! Everything is so cozy and warm. I didn't realize you have a century home...how nice that must be.
ReplyDeleteI love your kitchen! Wow, so much space and all that pretty cupboards. Unfortunately I've got a very small kitchen and there's no chance to make it bigger. Well, one can't have everything :o)... so I just enjoy your beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteTake care
Alex
Carolyn you have inspired me to put lace curtains up over the windows. I'm currently making valances but the lace peeking out underneath will be quite lovely! Toile always seems to look good in a kitchen. Unfortunately I will be bidding mine ado with the new window treatments. My transferware will be staying though ; )
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your kitchen Carolyn~just my style! So much to love here, Joe did a great job on the cabinets and you have it decorated so nicely. Of course I love the transferware touches!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. Love the greenery in the toile pitcher. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteYou know I looove your kitchen! It is so welcoming and lovely colours. Everything that you have on your countertops - I have the same: the tea set in the white iron caddy, the Kitchen Aid mixer, glass canisters, little white house (mine is a candle), the sheep and even the plates and mat are very similar!!! No surprise there, though, hey?! Midge just shakes his head cause you know what he thinks! Haha
Love you and hope your day is beautiful!
