Small Makeover

Hello everyone,
Hope you had a wonderful weekend. We enjoyed out belated Thanksgiving dinner here today with all 23 of us.We are fortunate to have all of our children living close by. My favorite part of our family get togethers is seeing all the grandchildren having so much fun after they finish with dinner just running around and giggling.
Since it is Metamorphosis Monday I though I would show you a little makeover that I did a few weeks ago.The table above is one that we had for years and I had planned on painting it for awhile but just never got around to it but finally it got a couple of coats of Victoriana paint.
I put an old lace tablecloth on it with a pic of grandson Sam and a bouquet of hydrangeas from the garden.

In behind I have this platter that I got on the 70 mile yard sale for $1.50 and we put it to good use today for our sliced turkey.
I also got this pretty brown and white transferware covered dish there also for $8. I love little covered dished so I was happy to find another one.
While we are on the topic here is another larger one that I also bought recently for a few dollars.

This is the table before it was painted-well it is partly painted here as I almost forgot to take a picture.
Well, it is not a big transformation but it brightened up this little corner rather nicely I thought and I was happy I finally got around to doing it.

If you would like to see lots more, visit BNOTP for Metamorphosis Monday if you have not already.  I am also joining the house in the roses for Show off your Cottage Monday and  there are lots of interesting things to see there too so go ahead and enjoy!

Thank you for stopping by!

Carolyn

  3. Hi Carolyn
I like the table much better with the paint colour and it fits right into that corner perfectly.
Wow, 23 for dinner - we won't get that high until the grands start to marry and have children. :-)
Small family dinners are pretty quiet, especially now that the kids are older.

Great to read that all 23 of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, regardless the date you managed to get together. That is important and makes for fond memories to cherish. It also soothes the worries about a little one... Let's count our blessings!
    Love to you,
