Hello,
It is a sunny but cooler day here today, enough of a change in the weather to let us know that winter will soon be coming. However, there are still some roses etc. blooming in the garden.
I picked a bouquet to enjoy in the house.
Cute shoes and roses.
There are several shades of pink roses in the bouquet.
The Fairy rose is still giving lots of sweet little pink roses to me with lots of buds yet to bloom if the weather holds.
A faded beauty.
I am joining How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday and also Hakan for Show Off Saturday.Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
Carolyn
I had to stop over and see the last of your beautiful roses! I can believe we're all done! Cozy down now!
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn! Oh, your beautiful roses and they'll soon be gone! I'm sure your home has the heavenly rosy scent from them! Your header is so pretty with the frost hanging on your roses! We're just now cooling down a bit and it's so welcome.
ReplyDeleteHope you're doing well.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Beautiful roses and beautiful arrangements you made!
ReplyDeleteBye,
Marian
Beautiful roses and photos Carolyn. Are you ready for snow? We are supposed to get a few cm. here overnight into tomorrow. There's a snowfall warning for NB but I suppose that is so people with summer tires will be careful. It will melt away in a day. We spent the morning preparing the flower beds for winter and raking leaves for cover. It's a big job! Enjoy the weekend. Pamela
ReplyDeleteAlways such beautiful photos here Carolyn. Our garden got knocked out hard the last few nights and things are looking a little drab. But then it IS almost November.
ReplyDeleteYour pond is amazing. The service berries and viburnum will be glorious in the fall. I can't to see the photos you capture here.
Your tea with Janice must have been wonderful. And I was so happy to see your beautiful parlor again.
hugs from here...
Such beautiful roses. I hate seeing the cold take them . We are to get snow today here in Michigan but so far the sun is shining and beautiful. I notice yesterday my yellow rose had a newly opened flower. It is close to the house so will bloom later than the rest of them.
ReplyDeleteEverything else is gone with the frosts.
Karan
Lovely last of the summer roses, Carolyn. The red and white striped shoes are pretty too.
ReplyDeleteAnd oh! Those lace-edged towels are the pizazz...they'be way too pretty to use!
Take care. Thanks for sharing all y our beautiful things. Susan
How lovely your roses are...even the frosted ones! What great photos. A really lovely Pink Saturday. Thanks for visiting.
ReplyDeleteCheers!

ReplyDeleteHope you have a nice weekend.
Love Elzie
mine are reblooming, love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat absolutely gorgeous pictures, I loved looking at each one. Kathi
ReplyDeleteDear Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteYou picked such a pretty bouquet! My garden has finally fallen asleep. I picked the last Dahlia's and Sweet Pea's today and cleaned the raised beds. We have to empty the terracotta pots with annuals soon, before the first heavy frosts. They say it's going to be a cold winter in Holland. Hope it won't be too bad on PEI!
Have a lovely Sunday & Happy Halloween!
Lieve groet, Madelief x
Love the cute shoes! Your roses are beautiful. Always a pleasure to visit you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos... I absolutely adore your bathroom sink! ♥
ReplyDeleteI need to know your secret to growing beautiful roses. So lovely.

ReplyDeleteDearest Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteYou were able to harvest quite a load of pretty pink roses from your lovely gardens! What a joy...
How is your little grandson doing? Hope he's having a good time, despite his drug treatment!
Love to you and your family,
Mariette
Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful. Love all of the vignettes you have created using these scrumptious roses. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it sad to see them go? Every pink and red rose is precious and beautiful. You do a wonderful job arranging them all for photos.
ReplyDeleteNow we prepare for the long winter ahead starting with an October snow storm!
So beautiful...
ReplyDeleteTalk about show-stoppin' shoes! Haha Love the roses and pink berries, Carolyn! Pink is my favourite colour...

Simply beautiful!
ReplyDeletePink Fairy
Wow, what gorgeous roses! I love roses and yours are just a dream. The Fairy I will buy too for the next season. But she will have to stay in a pot... I hope she doesn't mind.
ReplyDeleteTake care and have a dreamy Sunday.
Alex
Hi Caroyln,
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable you still have (or had) roses in your garden. Beautiful!
I love your pond. What an amazing summer project. It will be very interesting to follow. What are your plans for it?
Have a nice day,
Sanna
I've been a silent follower for a few months after I was doing a general google search. I'm delighted to have found your blog and thoroughly enjoy reading and viewing your gorgeous photography.
ReplyDeleteYour blogs about teatime has inspired me so that I dusted off a small box of family owned teacups recently and not only use them now but I look forward to tea parties in the near future.
Blessings

Thank you for the last roses...they were so beautiful!!! And I enjoyed the music so very much!
ReplyDeleteI loved every single one of your lovely pictures! Such beauty! It must be wonderful to live on Prince Edward Island. I loved watching Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea...it was filmed on your beautiful island. (As you know!)
I always wished I could see it someday. Maybe I should put it on my bucket list! (:>)
I hope you are having a lovely Sunday in your part of the world. I am enjoying it here in Kansas. After church my hubby and I took a drive through the countryside to see the changing trees. I love Autumn. This year has been rather dry, so we may not get quite the color we usually see. But there is still a beauty to be found.

Beautiful - looking forward to your fall/winter photographs. Sending warm rays of late afternoon sunshine from California.
ReplyDeleteComplimenti, il tuo blog è meraviglioso!!! Anna.
