Just Peachy!

Hello everyone,
It is a good day to be out in the garden but I took a little break this morning to do some baking. So then I had to enjoy the fruits of my labor by enjoying a tea break= maybe you would like to join me?

Since I was feeling peachy ,I thought I would use this china today with it's peach roses.
I made the same old raisin scones that I always seem to make but we do enjoy them so why not!

A peach cup and saucer for you with some peppermint tea-one of my favorites.

We are in the sunroom as it has clouded over and is too cool for sitting in the garden. Now,if you would like to help me do some gardening after the temperature is just right!

I made this pillow out of an old dress.

Now I am invigorated and I hear the garden calling my name!

I love this photo-pansies are so charming and this peachy one is perfect!
Thank you for stopping by for tea today.

I am joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday and also Cindy for Show and Tell Friday at My Romantic Home.

My thoughts and prayers are with all those in the south who have lost their homes or loved ones. This very unsettled weather is most disturbing.

Take care,
Carolyn

  1. Carolyn, those rosy teacups are my favorite of all your lovely teacups! So very pretty! I'm glad you are enjoying your garden, if you would wait a minute or two, I'll be there then to join you for tea... can I use that teacup for my tea? ;)

    Hugs from here!

  2. Hi Carolyn,
It is too cold and windy here to garden today, so I thought 'why not got over to Carolyn's and see what she is up to' and I am so glad I did. Beautiful pictures! I went back to read the posts that I had missed and I loved the beautiful daffodil photos too. I love that variety so much. I have them too and I love their fragrance too.
Whenever I leave here I feel as though I have just spent the morning with a wonderful magazine.
    hugs from here...

  3. My oh my Carolyn, your loveliest of posts always cheer me!..,

It has been relentlessly gray here in Halifax, Nova Scotia as well. Yet I agree with you that our hearts and our prayers must, and do, go out to those in the south for whom the tornado's claimed lives and destroyed so many buildings and homes!

    ..,Yes, this is unsettling!

Your peachy, cheerful theme is delightful and yummy also!

Hope we all get some sunshine soon! ~ Your garden is a dream and naturally some sunshine would make it much more pleasant for gardening!

Cheers and hugs from Wanda Lee

  13. Oh, just what I needed after a long day. Those rosy teacups are so adorable, I would love to come join you. We had a pretty sunny but windy day here, but now the rain pours down again and I'm starting to get a bit worried for my petite garden.

  25. Oh wow, your tea is amazing and everything is decorated so beautifully. I LOVE all the peaches and cream tones. Oh, that first teacup with the dark peach rose. It's just gorgeous and very romantic. I have this quilt with a similar rose pattern on it. I'm not obsessed with quilts, except for this one, because it's rommantic and country looking. This tea set would match perfectly :) :) Who's the maker? Thanks for sharing with us :) This is one of my favorites ;) ): Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

Noticed that your followers have disappeared too from the sidebar... There is a lot going on with blogger. Will post tonight about how to EXPORT your blog so all is not lost as several have lost their lifetime journal...

Great post as usual, lovely china and delicious baking with tea!

Let's indeed remember all those victims from the harsh weather lately...

    Lots of love,

  30. The color peach has always been my secret favorite color. My bridesmaids dresses were peach. Since then I really don't have anything peach in my decor... but it's beautiful as shown in all your lovely photos! The pillow you show made from a dress is so cute. Enjoy your beautiful gardens!!
