Hello everyone,
It is a good day to stay indoors by the fire as a snow storm is coming our way so I am taking comfort in a romantic afternoon tea close by the fire. So, I have gathered together some of my favorite things-roses,pretty china, pearls, candles and a few heart shaped sugar cookies.
Nothing like a hot cup of tea in a pretty china teacup.
Take some quiet time to reflect on the beauty around you and maybe take a few minutes to record your grateful thoughts in a journal.
Help yourself to a sugar cookie.
Candles always add a romantic touch to a room.
I love the dantiness of this creamer.
I love this teapot my husband surprised me with on Valentines Day a few years ago.
Sit and linger awhile.
I am still enjoying my roses from last week-they are holding up well as I keep them in a cool room at night.
You know I love collages!
Somehow, all these little romantic touches have made my afternoon tea taste so much better-hope it worked for you too!Today, I am joining Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch where there are so many beautiful tablescapes to see.
Thank you for visiting me today,
Carolyn
Lovely photos Carolyn! I love the collages the best.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting a snowstorm is on its way! I always loved a good snowstorm...but only when I was safely at home!

ReplyDeleteStunning photos Carolyn! Tea does taste better in a dainty cup. I have not written in a journal in a couple of years, maybe I should start again. Take care, Jen.
ReplyDeleteDearest Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteOh, that is food for the soul. Your ingredients are all favorites of mine as well. Pretty china with roses, real roses, lace work, pearls... That's a mid-winter dream away from the bizarre reality outdoors.
How we all long for spring and some warmth; above all -- LIGHT!
Your beautiful blog did spark some light on my soul though...
Have a great day and stay warm!

ReplyDeleteYour photos could not possibly have been more breathtaking, Carolyn. I wish I were the publisher of Victoria Magazine. I would hire you every single issue! You capture the essence of beauty every single time. Susan
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are so beautiful Carolyn! They inspire me to get out the china and have high tea with my girls!
ReplyDeleteI feel relaxed and thankful just looking at your beautiful pics! That tea and cookies alongside the gorgeous setting is so inviting on this winter's day! Getting lots of snow here too. I recognize the little pink floral votive holder as one of those that were sold awhile back as a cancer fundraiser. (?correct) I have a few around here and you make yours look so pretty, I should get mine out.
ReplyDeleteDD
Oh such sweet little roses on all that china! Love the teacup and saucer!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Very sweet and romantic dear Carolyn.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I buy roses in winter or they are offered. Although they have beautiful colors and shapes , I call them "laboratory roses" : they all have straight stems, no scent for the most and they are often thornless and unlike the Old and English roses they last long in vases.
Belle journée.
