Hello everyone,
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. We had several inches of snow come down again over the weekend. In spite of the snow the temperature was not cold -well, not by our usual winter temperatures any way. It has been hovering around the 0 Celsius mark.
So bundle up and come outdoors for a cup of hot tea.
I love birdhouses but maybe you already knew that!
Wrap yourself in this warm wooly blanket if you like.
Enjoy watching the birds for awhile as you quietly sip your tea. I love the sound of the Chickadees in the trees.
Even in winter there is peace and beauty in the garden so dress warm and stay cozy and enjoy the fresh air!
Thank you for visiting me on this lovely winter day!
Carolyn

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful cozy, but chilly setting. Can we have a fire by the gate please. I'm having a hard time warming up here, maybe some schnapps in that tea. HA!! Love your winter wonderland!
ReplyDeleteDear Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks beautiful with the layer of snow, the wreath on the gate, the chair and the chequered plate!
The snow in Holland has melted away at the beginning of the new year. We are having really mild temperatures up to 5 degrees celsius at the moment. I really enjoy it. It's perfect for being outdoors and working in the garden! Makes me long for spring even more.
Lieve groet,
Madelief
just beautiful...When it snows and the wind is not blowing it is so quiet and warm...I love it!
ReplyDeleteYou make snow sooo inviting. Here it is darn cold...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful setting area. Hot tea and a woolen blanket are perfect for watching the birds. Take care:)
ReplyDeleteI am probably one of the few people who really would love to curl up in that tartan throw, with a cup of something warm to drink, and enjoy the snow. I love it!
ReplyDeleteWhen we lived in Colorado and would go skiing every weekend the slopes were open we would sometimes park it on the side and enjoy the beautiful scenery. One of my favorite things to do was to be on the last lift up so you'd ski the mountain and have it to yourself coming down.
This is beautiful, Carolyn!

Dearest Calolyn,
ReplyDeleteThat is indeed a winter wonder land! We had snow but not as thick as yours. But most flights in Atlanta cancelled; the busiest airport in the world... What a chaos!
Enjoy your cozy place and do bundle up. It is very healthy to stay outdoors in this kind of weather.
Lots of love,
Mariette's Back to Basics
I love the setting, so pretty. I am a big bird watcher too...do you get any squirrels if you feed the birds. We do, and it takes away the birding fun. I would curl right up under the blanket and watch the birds if I had that in my yard! Just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful pictures! I love that plaid throw; did you get that from L.L. Bean? They have one just like it! ♥
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn
ReplyDeleteNo shortage of snow now, is there?
We're to have a whole lot more Tuesday night again.
I like the birdhouse and wreath on the gate and tea...likely iced tea before long. :-)
Judith

ReplyDeleteIt looks very cold, but it is lovely. Great photos.

we are expected to get 18" on Wednesday..can only imagine what type photo's I would take..the blades of the snowblower, dirty boots, a tired and crabby husband..
Oh yes, I need tea at this moment.
Kindredly,
Shirley
Your photos are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures! How do you do it? They always look so warm and inviting, even when they are out in the snow. I would never think to put a throw and tea cup on a outside chair for a picture.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. I would love to come over for a cup of coffee and listen to the chickadees. LOVE the blanket and the wreath.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day :-)
