A Tour of our Garden

=

Hello everyone,

It was a hot day here but it is cooler now so we can enjoy a tour of the garden. this is called Martha's garden(Martha is the statue at the back of the garden).
I am joining Cindy at My Romantic Home for Show and Tell Friday again today. There is already lots to see over there.

The garden is at it's peak now with lots of color everywhere.

We have had great summer weather -lovely sunny days, cool nights and enough rain to keep everything green and lush. I only have to water planters and window boxes.

These beds are the southern beds viewed from the veranda on the back of the house.

If you continue on through the vine covered terrace(gazebo) you walk to the allee garden.

Chelsea Garden

The other end of Chelsea

My husband built this last year- it gave more of a focal point to the garden.

And here you can see the gardeners hard at work- I can't tell you how many buckets full of daylillies we have deadheaded lately!

I couldn't get my pictures to all go over together so there is more of today's post below.

When our rain finially stopped it stopped... not a drop for well over a month, I am a slave to the hose (but is is fun to soak my feet every so often:-)

Your gardens are simply beautiful Carolyn :) How I wish I could be surrounded by so much beauty to behold every day. I hope to add another little garden area in the front of our home next spring, with perenials and some ornamental grasses. Haven't told my hubby about my idea yet :) Thank you once again for sharing your lovely gardens with us.

Warmest hugs, Brenda

It's lovely to think there are places where it actually gets cool in the summer and the rains water the lawns. I still think my favorite vew of your gardens is the sweet lamppost, sunny or misty. Thanks for giving a respite from the heat here in California ( though it was only in the 80s today).

Dearest Carolyn,

You got a lovely garden and all the luck of the climate you live in for managing this! Well deserved for all the hard work; we know what it takes... Enjoy it now at its peak days!

Carolyn, Your garden is breathtaking and I just can't imagine the amount of hours it takes to keep it looking that beautiful. I love to work in ours, but the Georgia heat and humidity are awful once the temps hit in the 80s, so our garden suffers in the summer. I'm just amazed at how lush yours is. You must get a good bit of rain.Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden. I've really enjoyed it.
