A Rainy Sunday Afternoon Tea

It is a quiet rainy Sunday afternoon and I am treating myself(again) to a nice cup of green tea in a quiet corner of our bedroom.

The window is open and a gentle breeze is blowing in.

My sweet treat today is a chocolate brownie with whipped cream and crushed strawberries.

A little bouquet from the garden of Fairy roses and baby's breath.

A special teacup.

In case anyone wanted to know.

I think I will sit here for awhile and enjoy some of my old issues of Victoria along with the breeze and the sound of rain-who knows I might even have a snooze.

Are you having a quiet Sunday afternoon tea too?

Today I am going to join in with The Tablescaper for Summer Sundays.

Enjoy your day,

Carolyn

Brava Carolyn, apprezzo tanto chi (come te) sa valorizzare anche una giornata di pioggia!
Qui da noi c'è stato un sole splendido e io mi sono dedicata all'acquisto di nuovi complementi d'arredo per il mio terrazzo!

♥ Baci, cara!

A midday snooze is good for the soul! I should know..yesterday it rained here and I crashed out on my mother in laws couch for almost an hour. Everyone played around me and I was out to the world. Now that's an afternoon to remember! hehhe.

Sounds totally beautiful. I LOVE teatime and Victoria magazine. Time spent with those things is beautifying and refreshing.

Your sweet treat looks delicious...and your little tea corner looks SO lovely.

Blessings on your day,

What a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the afternoon :) So peaceful and quite...very charming :) I just did a post about the new Victoria Classics, Rooms of Bliss Magazine that is now out. I've just started to peruse my copy of it, and love it so far!

Hope the rest of your day is just as peaceful.

Warmest hugs, Brenda

Carolyn, I only WISH I were curled up with a cup of tea and a magazine. Alas, I am working today but playing a bit between patient activity. Love your blog-it makes me smile- and dream- Diana

I like quiet times with tea - & maybe a sweet pastry. Mmmm.
I also love these rainy days! Perfect tea whether for me. Summer is too hot to drink it, so now that fall is on its way--more tea! (and cocoa)

The sun is out and the sky is beautiful but it is 99 degrees outside with a heat index making it feel like 105!

Take advantage of the open window and the breeze.

Looks very inviting, Carolyn. No, I didn't have a quiet moment to enjoy tea and a "shnooze" because I went to a two year old's birthday bash! ha! Loved your photos, as always, Isn't Victoria the best magazine EVER? I just love reading my old issues, over and over again. You should sell some of your photography to them! Yours is often even better than the photos they use. Seriously. Susan

So impeccably beautiful :)
We had more than just your normal rainy afternoon today; we had nearly a tornado which blew all our power lines out for hours! Thankfully it's back on again and 10 degrees cooler! Whew ♥
