Hello everyone,
Outside our kitchen window a robin built a nest in the yew tree so we have a bird's eye view of the nest!
Patiently waiting
We are hatched and hungry
There are three
Both mama and papa are busy all day going back and forth to feed the young.
Outside our livingroom window and right beside our veranda is a weigelia shrub where a finch has built her nest.
Isn't she the cutest? Sorry for the fuzziness on this pic
So homely only a mother could love them!
Busy gathering food for her hungry babes.
It has been fun watching the nesting going on right outside our windows.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend,
Carolyn

Oh baby birds are so wonderful! It's so lovely how God works and new life is created! I don't think I'll ever tire of seeing eggs, nests, and baby birds!
Wow! What a beautiful view you have of the bird family and all their adventures.
Oh, Carolyn, these photos are just precious. I love birds. How lucky you were to get photos of mommy birds on the neat and the little ones. If only all humans were as dedicated to their young as these wonderful creatures.
Wonderful photos of the baby birds, nest and eggs. I have posted some baby robin photos this morning too. Have a wonderful weekend.
Absolutely fabulous pictures. And what a way to enjoy a day... watching baby birds. Doesn't that just balance life a bit??
Have a great weekend.

This is my first visit to your blog, and I must say, I will definitely be returning regularly. It is SO beautiful!! (I'm going to snag your button for my blog)
Your photos are stunning. You did an amazing job capturing those beauties.
A couple years ago I enjoyed watching a nest of baby birds, and I realized then that because I had slowed my life down, I was able to enjoy simple pleasures like that. Prior to that, I was in constant overdrive and wouldn't have had any interest, let alone the time, to keep watch over a nest of baby birds.
Have a lovely day,
Patti (Fill My Cup with Beauty)
I love your pics of the bird nests....such a beautiful vision of nature and God's hand at work.
Oh, what splendid photos you got, Carolyn! Amazing views you have of the nests and the activity taking place there. And what a blessing to watch the parents tend to their young. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend.
Blessings,
Sandi
This post is an absolute treat. Just beautiful. What a happy joy for you to watch them, all of this time. How happy for them to have such a safe place. This is worth diamonds - precious!
Love, katy Noelle
There is just something so sweet and innocent about those little baby birds. It brings out the "mothering instinct" in most of us~ Thanks for the wonderful insider glance into their world. Diana
What a wonderful post! You don't get to see these images too often..lucky you! Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Carolyn,
Oh so cute! Nice view for you. I love the color on the eggs.
Have a nice day,
Sanna
How fun to have the nesting birds close enough to enjoy them!
A robin recently nested in my tree. There were three eggs. I checked on them a few weeks later after not seeing activity, one egg was still in the abandoned nest. I hope the others hatched and fledged successfully.
Awww, what lovely pictures! How adorable ♥
What beautiful pictures! So very sweet!! We have tons of birds nesting around our property, but we never get to see them the way you've shown here. We have cats, and I'm always afraid of alerting them to where the nests are, so we try to stay away. Then, we find the nests that have been deserted after the baby's have grown and flown away, so I get to bring some inside my home. I really enjoy them. :) Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures with us!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Carolyn, I think your pics are sweet and it's alright to have fuzzy pics...they add something to pictures of baby birds.
The eggs in the nests are certainly pretty!
Sweet week,

OMG, Carolyn, I thoroughly enjoyed this post. I never knew that Robins lay blue eggs. We have bluebird houses that my husband built at our farm and we watch those bluebirds almost year round and they lay gorgeous blue eggs. I had no idea that Robins layed blue eggs. Also, I feed Gold Finches briefly for a couple of months while they are in our area flying north and I had never seen their eggs either. Since they don't nest here I had never looked it up but found your photos fascinating. Thank you so much for sharing.

I love little birds and the chirping sounds they make. I love birds so much that when I was grammar school I tried to rescue a fallen baby bird laying in the middle of a sidewalk. I was frightened of getting lice so I was scooping him up with two binders to carry him into our science teacher. This bird was hollering and screaming before I even decided to rescue him. Out of no where, while I was intently hovered over this silly bird a giant bird came down and beat me with it's wings. Needless to say, I took of running for dear life. After school the baby bird was no where to be found. Thank goodness! I love birds!
Blessings,
Shanna

Great photos...that is the neatest robin's nest I have ever seen...usually they are helter skelter in their weaving them together!

Hi Carolyn
Those are amazing photos of the birds. I love to watch the birds too. We have a thrush sitting on a nest in a rosebush but it's too high for us to see in the nest.
I just found your blog and all I can say, is you and your family are very, very lucky to live in such a beautiful place. Loved Anne of Green Gables, both the books and the movies. Always wanted to live there. I can't believe your photography either! It's beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing.
Wonderful photos of the birds.
You have a great view.

We have had the honor of having some lovely birds nest at our house too. Isn't just the most wonderful thing to see this !? My youngest son is a crazy bird watcher (kinda interesting for a 9-year old) so he LOVED this post.
What fabulous pictures! How lucky is that! I found this just thrilling--thanks for sharing--Jacqueline
Carolyn these photos of the birdie families made me smile today. I loved every one of these. How lucky to be able to watch the nesting process unfold.
Your previous post is the very reason I LOVE this blog! So full of beauty.
Thank you so much for the lovely message of congratulations you sent me. I appresiate your friendship so much.
