Isn't it hard to believe it is May already? In honor of the first day of May I have a small bouquet for you.
I wasn't sure if I liked it with blue or just white.
I love this old vase that I got last year at an antique mall in Kennebunkport Maine.

I think your photos are very good, but I know what you mean about trying to shoot something with the bright light behind in the window. I need help too.

Very lovely! I like the all white. =] I, also, appreciate the photos everyone shares of hyacinths. I love them UNscented and I think that this the only way to get them. (Ah chooooooooo!)

ReplyDeleteYour photographs are absolutely gorgeous, Carolyn! (You can "bounce" some light into the shadow area by holding a large white board, like a piece of foam core, underneath and tilting it until you see the dark area brighten up. You can prop it on a chair or low table just below your pitcher and that should help balance out the light ratio between the indoor objects and the window.) Have a beautiful Sunday. – g

Carolyn....I love the pop of blue in the bouquet. It really makes the vase stand out! I have my 3 grandchildren with me this weekend! I will need some "down time" a little later today! It's quiet at the moment...everyone still asleep!~Patti
