Hello,
I am entering in Show and Tell today over at My Romantic Home. So ,I was playing with my dishes again and thought I would share the new display with you.
It is harder to find the green and white dishes so I don't have a lot of them.I am surprised that there isn't a new line of this color but if there is, I haven't seen it.
This little gravy boat was a gift from a friend.
This is not the same color but close enough until I find something else.
This is the little cupboard that I display them in. I bought it at a yard sale several years ago. it was stained dark so I gave it a couple of coats of paint.
Well, that is my show and tell for today but there is lots more to see at Cindy's Romantic Home.
I am still working on my projects-stripping wallpaper(ugh!)and painting etc. I will show you when it is done but there is 20 double rolls of wallpaper to take of so it may be awhile!
I hope you all have a good weekend-here on the Island it is a long weekend as Monday is Islander day.
I have signed up for Pink Saturday so I will post later tomorrow.
Thank you for visiting me,
Carolyn
Hi Carolyn! I love when you play with dishes.
ReplyDeleteGreen and white is unusual -- I loved seeing yours. I had a teal green and white piece of ironstone, a compote, that was my mother's. It's moved on.
I don't know why someone isn't making green and white transferware; it looks so fresh and beautiful!
Cass
The china looks so beautiful and your home always looks inviting. Thanks for sharing.

That has to be the prettiest set of dishes, ever! I love love the green, especially right now when all I see is white!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful collection! I love the green and they look perfect in that cabinet! It's a long weekend here in the states too! It's President's Day weekend! I took today off also so I could have a four-day weekend!
ReplyDeleteI deleted you extra link. Thanks for letting me know!
I enjoyed seeing this unusual green color. You have a nice collection that goes so well in the white cupboard. I do not have many dishes and it is always fun to see your collections.

I am so in love with the little cabinet......and the dishes......I don't see many green dishes at yard sales or Goodwill...........or even Home Goods.........anyways yours are beautiful
ReplyDeleteJUST LOVE YOR BLOG!!
ReplyDeleteI love the china and I love the display case. My green tureen that I found in a charity shop would go well with your collection. Under other circumstances I would love to send it to you to add to your collection, but 1) it would be too heavy to post and 2) I want it for myself!!! Please know the thought was there, though! :) xx
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy looking at your beautiful china. I like the white blue/green terrine!! It is a very special colour. In Holland it is still cold and snowing. Today my youngest daughter and I will make some cupcakes. I bought a lovely book about baking recently, which we are trying out. One of these days I will show it on my blog. Have a happy Valentin's Day & Island Day!
Lieve groet, Madelief
Morning Carolyn
ReplyDeleteGreen isn't a colour I would choose for my china but in your house and cabinet it looks lovely.
Have a good weekend, Jackie in UK.
Your china is gorgeous Carolyn. I love it.
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful things you have. I really envy you, lol. Both on this post and the last one you made. Those shoes are just lovely.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend.
Love Elzie
Beautiful display in a lovely
ReplyDeletecabinet.
Wedgwood’s "Joie de Vivre" Collection has green and white plates, etc. in three designs. I only have a couple wooden chargers in the design shown in my post:
