In the Bleak Mid Winter

                                                                    Hello everyone!
Another snow day here as we got over 30cm of snow overnight
last night, closing schools and some work places.
I enjoy looking out onto our porch and seeing my tablescape
so I am leaving it there for awhile.
My good husband out shoveling our walk off again!
You can see even our car got a good cover of snow.

It will soon be a tunnel up to our door.

A good thing it is cozy and warm inside our home.
It has been quite a winter here so far and I am hoping we are more
then midway through this one but apparently we have more snow on
                                the way tonight!
However, with the trees all laden with fresh white snow it is
definitely  a winter wonderland out there!

Hope you stay warm and cozy!

                                                                                                         Carolyn

Brrrr... Carolyn, so much snow! I certainly don't miss that... we had our own share of snow here in the South where we live now, but it has all melted away by now and already spring in the air... Those are the kind of winters I like :) lovely!

My goodness, that is A LOT of snow. I'd be lucky to see even a teensy inch just once in my lifetime, but over in your neck of the woods.... that's just bonkers. You must be so miserably cold.

It was rather similar wheather in your and my country in Europe every year. But now it's surprising - you have so much snow and we have sunny, early spring days in the same time. Your white garden is also beautiful :)And wonderful moments by the fireplace... Regards :)

Carolyn, I'd be the one snuggled in by the cozy fire. Can't begin to imagine living with all that snow.
Stay warm and let's hope for an early spring. '-)

Dear Carolyn,

The pile of snow in your garden looks enormous! It must be so much work for your husband to make that path.

The snow looks beautiful though!

Stay warm!

It certainly makes for a lovely picture, Carolyn! Your home inside looks very cozy and inviting, especially with the fireplace going. I could see being very comfortable in one of those chairs for a nice long time. : ) We have had a warm up here ~ a bit of a tease with temps near 50 {if not that}. Tomorrow is rain but close to 60. I hope the temp change is here to stay now!

So beautiful to be such a nuisance... your outdoor table is so lovely with the draping snow... God is such an amazing decorator.... You certainly do look amazingly cozy in your home.. we got 2 feet of snow last week and even with 2 days of 60 degree temps... we only see a couple of grassy spots....

That is a crazy amount of snow!! When I was about 10 we lived in Kane PA for a year and we had snow like you have now for the entire winter. It never went away and we just operated in it - it was a small town - we all walked to school, walked to town and the skating rink in the park. They cleared the roads and we drove on them just fine. It didn't seem like such a big deal - maybe that was because I was 10. LOL!

I can't believe how deep the snow is! It makes for such beautiful pictures even though is must be a pain to have to shovel it! Love the outdoor area with the xmas tree covered in snow too.. take care, Maryann

Hi Carolyn....It looks pretty similar here in Western Massachusetts. We have snow up to our eyebrows (or at least it seems that way. ha hahah)

Surely we can have hope that winter is more than half-way over. Pretty soon we'll be seeing photos of your gorgeous garden. Susan

Yowza! That is A LOT of snow! We had about 8" in my part of NC and that was quite a bit for us. Your tea service by the fire looks like the perfect setup on a winter's day!

You sure did get a lot of snow in the last storms, Carolyn! It looks so pretty how it blew in onto your screen porch and dusted everything in it. The cozy fireplace also looks very welcoming. Enjoy.

Oh my, I thought things were bad here in Jersey. Your poor hubby. So much snow to clear. Keep warm. Hoping that springs arrives soon.

It is beautiful there, inside and outside! But from a southern girl, don't know how you handle all that cold and snow.

That's a lot of snow, seeing we never get any I would love it for a while but maybe not to long.

Carolyn, I know you love winter and I'm wondering if you put in an order for all this snow?? Just kidding! It is pretty but I've had quite enough of this kind of pretty for this year. I wonder if your hubby is tired of shoveling. I know mine is! Your fire looks very cozy and your porch looks like a post card. Enjoy your day.

Blessings,
Sandi

Our front walk looks something like yours, but I think you definitely have a little more snow. This truly is the snowiest winter ever! Love the contrast of the snow and your cozy tea table in front of the fire. Just where I like to be.
