Blue & White Transferware Winter Tea

                                                                    Hello everyone,
I hope your week is going well. The wind is howling here tonight
and after a couple of mild days the temperature has dropped
again so it is best to be nice and cozy indoors with a cup of tea
and a good book.I had a little trip to the library today and stalked
                                    up on a few.
I haven't used my blue and white transferware for awhile but
it seems like a good time to use it~ it has a warm cozy look to it.

Our local hospital gift shop carried these pieces a few years ago but I haven't seen
                           them around here since.

Peanut butter balls and pecan butterballs ~ help yourself!

As usual,my china is a mix and match set.
So far, this winter our pond has had too much snow on it for skating so I
was hoping our January thaw would give us some good ice but alas only
on our driveway and walkway! So for now,I guess I will just have to sip
                               tea and read my books!!!
I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday today.
                                                                          Thank you for visiting,
                                                                                               Carolyn

Hi Carolyn
You managed to pick up quite few nice pieces of the blue transferware.
With all the snow we've had too, sipping tea and reading books and magazines has been my way to pass time - and it's relaxing.

Hi Carolyn,
What a winter we're having! It's good to enjoy some tea and a book when it's just too cold to go outside. You found some beautiful pieces at the gift shop. The hospital gift shop is actually where I found most of my red pieces. Like the blue, they don't seem to carry it any more; pity! I find transferware very hard to find here. Thank you for coming to tea and stay cozy.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hi Carolyn, Isn't it funny how the cool blue color can look so warm and inviting on the cozy transferware?
I would love to sit at your pretty table with the pink accent of the roses. Our driveway here in southeast CT is also a skating rink! Very cold too, although I think you must be in a deeper freeze up there! Stay warm. Your butterballs look delicious! Linda

Blue and white is so pretty and fresh looking. Just lovely. I'm not liking this horrible wind here tonight. I'm chilled to the bone.

Happy New Year Carolyn!
Your blue transferware is so pretty... thank you for the yummy dessert & tea.
We are sure enjoying Vancouver Island so far but it sure seems odd to have no snow. Saskatchewan is -50 with wind chill this week so we are so glad we are not home this winter.
Enjoy your downtime reading and sipping tea.
Stay warm...

Hello Carolyn,
it looks beautiful.
"Mix" and Match" is so nice. I love it and so I have more possibilities,
isn't it?

It's so inspiring to see your collection, proving too that it can all come together nicely in mix match term. I dream of a small collection but I know it will have to take years ...perhaps:) For now, I'm enjoying yours. Thanks for sharing:)

Just paint me green with envy over your beautiful blue & white china ! My favorite color .

Winter weather is the perfect time for such practical reasons to hunker down indoors and tend to our need for warmth and coziness. You seem to have it mastered both visually & practically. Just beautiful.

Your blue and white porcelain is really lovely, I love the blue and white china, that's the 'dominant theme' in my old style kitchen and I'd truly like to be one guests of yours for this winter tea Carolyn !

The blue and white transferware looks very pretty, Carolyn.

The peanut butter balls and pecan balls did, too.

What I want to know is how you make them, eat them (or don't eat them), to stay so slim.

Beautiful! I love mismatched. Much more interesting, I think. I make peanut butter balls at Christmas. The others sound yummy too. Snowing all day here. Brrr! Yes, best to stay indoors!

Carolyn, I love your blue and white tranferware. You've set a lovely tea table. The cookies look great. Enjoy sipping tea and reading - sounds like the best thing to do when it's so cold and snowy.
