Winter White

                                                                    Hello everyone,
We had a lovely Christmas here and I hope you did too! We had our family all here for Christmas dinner but yesterday we all(or most all) were invited to my Sister in law's for a lovely buffet dinner. Today was a lazy day so I took a few moments with my camera.
It is a winter white theme today. Speaking of winter white some of Canada is being hit by a big snow storm and it is headed our way. We are supposed to get snow and then rain with winds-sounds messy!
Some simple pinecones decoating the window
I got the beautiful winter white throw with the lace as a Christmas gift.

                                                        Love candlelight in the winter.
I am supposed to going to the movie Anna Karina tonight but I am watching the weather first.Have any of you seen it?

Thank you so much for all your good wishes for the season and all your visits too.

I am joining French Country Cottage for Feathered Nest Friday and My Romantic Home for Show & Tell Friday.

  Take care,
              Carolyn

Stunning Carolyn! I haven't seen the film but am holding out till the DVD comes out cause I know it is going to be breath-taking from all I have read. Did you happen to hot glue the ribbons on the cones or attach to the stem? I really enjoy each and every escape I had to your blog this year and want to sincerely thank you for such! Lori

What a weird coincidence - we JUST RETURNED from seeing Anna Karenina, Carolyn. It was incredible costuming and such a unique approach to the film - half play half film - so awesome.

It's a depressing story but finely done, I highly recommend it. I'd go again in a hot second to see those gorgeous dresses again!

I remember reading Anna Karina about 25 years ago but have not seen the movie. We saw Les Miserables on Christmas day. Your pine cones are lovely. Olive

I love winter whites and will probably decorate with some after New Years Day. We are getting that storm here now and it's very bad out there with strong winds and lots of snow! I hope you stay safe and cozy. Blessings, Pamela

All your winter whites are charming Carolyn and the new throw fits right in. Stay warm while preparing for the storm and I hope you don't lose your power.

I like the pinecones hanging on ribbon. How did you attach the ribbon, is it glued on or somehow tied onto something on the bottom?

Carolyn said...

Hi Shirl,
I hotglued the ribbons(cut from an old sheet) onto the pinecones.I also gave the cones a little spray of white paint.
Thanks for your visit.

I love your winter whites, as I do all the gorgeous photos you share. We got that Nor'easter here in New England two days ago. We have a foot or so of new snow, and more falling today.
