Tea Time

Hello everyone,
After a few beautiful sunny warm days last week we are back to winter here today. Schools and some businesses are shut down for the day as we have high winds and some blowing snow. So,it is a good day to snuggle in and enjoy a nice afternoon tea break.
I couldn't resist this pretty teacup when I saw it at a second hand shop a few weeks ago. It matched the plate on the bottom of the 3 tiered plate stand my husband made for me.Help yourself to the sugar cookies, cranberry muffins or a pecan butterball.

A pretty bouquet makes the day a little brighter.

Carnations and snapdragons
Well, I hope this little afternoon tea is a bright spot in your day!

I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday again.

Thank you for stopping by and thank you to all who left such nice comments on our bedroom makeover in the past few days.

Take care,
Carolyn

That is a beautiful pattern, Carolyn! What luck finding the teacup and saucer that matches that dish. I am hoping that any threat of snow for us has passed, although I'm still not trusting of the warmer weather we've been having.

Good afternoon Carolyn,
What a pretty little teacup! You do find the prettiest cups on your rounds! I need to get out more, I think. And it's lovely that it matches the stand Andrew made for you. Your cookies look wonderful and it is a good day to stay indoors and enjoy a cup of tea. Thank you for joining me today.

Blessings,
Sandi

Carolyn,

Your elegant blog is such a blessing. As a writer, I spend many hours at the computer, so when I need a virtual retreat, I escape to your lovely cottage for a spot of tea and a calming respite.

Your photographs are so evocative. I've managed to resist the great temptaion to pin them on Pinterest, however. The music is perfect, also.

Peace and blessings,
Sharon

Hey, Carolyn!

Thanks for the cuppa cheer! What a beauty of a teacup! And, clever Andrew to make that tiered goodies server. I am impressed!

Our weather finally warmed up today to 10 degrees Celsius. When you were having all that warm weather last week, ours was cold and snowy! Lol

Enjoy your evening.

Hugs,
Linda

Hi Carolyn
That was a stroke of luck to find a teacup that matches the bottom tier plate.
Sorry to hear you got snow, we've only had cold weather and high winds. However, it is supposed to be warmer tomorrow.

Carolyn,
I love your blog and have pinned some of your photos on Pintrest. Recently, on our local TV news they have said that many bloggers that have copyrights on their photos consider this a violation. Please let me know if I am doing something wrong or worse illegal.

I adore your tiered platestand and would love a tutorial on how your husband made it. The cup is breathtaking. Thanks so much for your beautiful blog.

Such a pretty cup you found Carolyn! I would have taken it with me too :-) The cookies and muffins on your cake stand look delicious!

We had two beautiful sunny days too, but from tomorrow it's getting colder again. I hope we will get some rain. The garden is very dry at the moment!

Happy day!
