Winter White

Hello everyone,
Yesterday our rain turned to snow and I enjoyed getting out with my camera to capture some snow shots as I knew it wasn't going to last . The temperature went up a short time later and the rain took it all away before morning so all that is left are my pics!
Looks like the milk man delivered my milk-but no those days are gone and after carrying these things around a bit I realize that would be a hard job delivering these around-they are heavy!

Well, that was our snow day-pretty while it lasted but alas gone now.

I am joining The Rose Garden in Malvik for Show off Saturday and How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday.Today,I am also joining The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sundays.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Carolyn

Oh Carolyn, I hope YOU have a wonderful weekend, too.

Where did you EVER get those milk bottles? Did you fill them up with milk?

You know, I remember the milkman delivering milk. His name was Manuel. And there was a thick layer of cream at the top, which I loved. ha ha ha Thanks for the memories.

Take care, dear Carolyn, and have fun this weekend. Susan

I always love looking at your lovely pictures!

I am kind of sad because it doesn't appear that we are going to have a white Christmas this year. I think that might be a first since I've lived in Indiana.

Hi Carolyn,

I just love the garden arch with foliage filled urns i can imagine the girls from 'little women' skipping through it.

Beautiful sights captured forever.

We still had our milk delivered until last year. I hung on for as long as possible as I hate to see old traditions die - but alas, like many people, I found it was cheaper to buy it from the supermarket and pennies need looking after these days.

Have a wonderful weekend. xx

Enchanting Carolyn! As always your world is so aesthetically superb! It is lovely seeing the falling snow around your home. We have none here . . . I am not missing it yet, though the landscape is more beautiful when it wears its white winter coat. We have had warmer days than I recall. I adore your cottage!

Carolyn ~ just beautiful beyond words. Looks like something out of a movie or Victoria Magazine. You have captured the essence of Christmas in your photos.
Can you tell me what sight you used for your snow effect at the end of the page? I have used some in the past, but none as pretty as yours.
Thanks.

Hello, Carolyn
My home, built in the early 50's, has a little door/shelf where the milkman would have left the bottles. Some people have sealed up these spaces, but I use mine as a mailbox.
Fantastic snow pictures! Still waiting for the white stuff here...

These are all lovely photos but the first one with the milk bottles is my favourite, it really appeals to me. A pity the snow was so fleeting - though maybe you don't agree:) Looking at it is one thing, trying to go places and do things is something else!
