Beautiful Old Quebec

Add caption
Hello everyone,
As many of you know we were away last week and on our drive from the Island to Montreal we stopped in Quebec City for a couple of nights. We have been there before a couple of times and always love it-it has so much charm and history.

So come for a walk with me through this beautiful city.

I loved all the beautiful planters and window boxes throughout the city but this place really had my attention with the rows of corn along the top and the veggies in the windowboxes.

I love how the very impressive Chateau Frontenac towers above these quaint shops.Cobblestone streets and old stone buildings with lots of greenery-what could be more charming?

We took a guided tour of the Chateau Frontenac- it is so beautiful. This is the lobby.

A Christmas store-so many lights!

Beautiful in the evenings too with all the lights and musicians playing in the streets.

Don't you think it is a very beautiful and romantic city. I am looking forward to going back again sometime soon!

Have a lovely day!
Carolyn

Oh, how I would love to visit Quebec. I find it so hard to understand quebecois, but it would be fun to visit, nonetheless. My French grandfather came to the US through Quebec.
Your pictures are lovely and make me want to visit more than ever.

What a gorgeous city! I remember years ago that Perry Como did a Christmas special from there and with the snow and music it was magical! Maybe someday I will be able see it.~Hugs, Patti

This was such a wonderful tour Carolyn. I love the greenery tumbling out of every flower box, colouring the vistas down cobbled streets. It truly looks to be a fairytale town.

Dearest Carolyn,

Oh my, you made my day! This is my favorite city and we did vacation at Le Château Frontenac in August of 1998. Looks like they are renovating its beautiful roof or am I wrong?
My dear friend Hélène is from Québec City and when we visited with her at her parents place we also had a lovely time, without staying at the Château. That city is so romantic, no wonder that it once was the top honeymoon destination!
Love to you and all the best for little Lucas...

Carolyn you took some wonderful photos of this beautiful city. I have been there once with our daughter's grade 9 class trip but not with my hubby. I really need to change that don't I? LOL It is a beautiful and romantic city full of charm and history. Thanks for sharing you photos with us. Blessings, Pamela

Dear Carolyn,

While reading this post, I realised I missed your last one. So sorry to hear about your grandson's disease. I sincerely hope the drug will work and Lucas will feel better again. This must be so difficult for you and your family. I wish your daughter and her husband strength too.

Your photo's look beautiful. Quebec looks like the sort of town I would enjoy visiting too. The lovely streets, old houses...and that castle! It looks so romantic. Glad to hear that could enjoy it a bit, despite your worries.

Take care!

Lieve groet, Madelief x

Thanks for bringing Quebec to all your blog readers. So beautiful. It really makes Iowa look boring but at least I can go for a short inexpensive trip via the internet and blogging. That's one of the great things about blogging that I love.
Thanks for the trip.
