Romantic Dreams

Hello Everyone,
I am enjoying the lovely summer weather and so I am having tea in the garden again today-hope you can join me!

The chair was an old brown one from the thrift shop ($10.) and a coat of stain perked it up nicely.

The little picnic basket was a gift from my husband's aunt and it also got a coat of paint.

The chintz china looks pretty against the blue-green color of the chair.
Some pretty roses for the little picnic basket. I am sure there are some lovely scones, clotted cream and lemon curd inside this little basket!

.Don't you just love these sunny summer days?

I hope you enjoyed this sunny summer afternoon tea as much as I did creating it for you!
I am joining Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday.
Thank you for visiting me.

Take care,

Carolyn

Dearest Carolyn,
Tea with thee was wonderful!
It is always a delight to see your gorgeous pictures that you create.

Our temps here in Kansas are awfully HOT at 105, so I will gladly travel in cyberspace and cool off.

God bless,
d

What beautiful, vivid colors! Isn't it amazing what a simple can of paint can accomplish? I am not terribly patient when it comes to refinishing things, but you did a wonderful job!

The cerise and turquoise combination is so appealing, Carolyn. It just makes one happy looking at it! So glad you are having lovely weather. We're having some, but not enough. Still, we are not broiling like much of the country. Thank you as always! – g

Hello Carolyn, What a romantic setting indeed! I love it all. The color blue is so pretty against the green from the garden along with the splash of pink. Gorgeous!
After the long cold winters we have I do love the sunny warm days.

This was certainly a different color from your part. But it's very fresh, and I like both the chair and the basket.

This china is just adorable!!! The pot is just what I would like to find. The small flowers on it is so lovely.

Hope you have a nice evening.

Love that chair! Everything is just lovely and I'm so glad you're enjoying your summer. I've been out very little, as I don't tolerate the heat, and it has been super hot this year.

Hi Carolyn
You find the nicest colours to paint your things. I never did find the Krylon pistachio in Canada but managed to pick it up on a shopping trip to Buffalo.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that likes to paint accessories and such.
Hope it is cooler there for tea in the garden, we're up in the high 90's today and it appears some plants are just giving up.
