Bits and Pieces

     Hello everyone,
I hope you are all enjoying a good week. It has been a busy one here as the weather has been pretty good for doing garden chores. All the beds have had at least one good weeding but with all the moisture we have had I think we need to start at the first one and start in again! It is so nice to see the garden filling in though and the freshness of all the leaves on the trees etc. We are coming into such a pretty time of the year.
I have a few bits and pieces of things to share with you today. I know I have been a bit scarce lately but there is just so much to do right now.

our spring garden

Our first garden tour of the season is coming up soon and I am trying to have everything ship shape. What about you, I bet you are busy too!

Take care,

Carolyn

Hi Carolyn,
So nice to see your beautiful photos. Yes, it is a lovely time of year; my favourite!

Are you having any trouble with Blogger? The past couple of days I couldn't comment on any blogs except yours and one other here in Canada. Now, this evening, it won't allow me to sign in so I can't even work on any posts. It's very frustrating!
Sure hope they get it fixed soon.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hi Carolyn,
Yes, I love this time of year. I wish I could say I've been through my gardens at least once, but we've been having rain every weekend. I've started working in the yard after work just to get some of the basics done.

I would love to make the trip east and tour your gardens.

Bonjour Carolyn - you have the most wonderful collection of pretty china - I love seeeing the different designs - all beautiful!
It is nearing our autumn season here in Australia and so for me it's lots of raking of leaves and composting - pruning back of the virginia creeper - Then it's time to nestle down inside with good books and magazines to winter over - snug and warm!

Gorgeous pictures! It's nice to have the sunshine and heat today and tomorrow here. I have bought a few annuals and hope to pot them tomorrow. I'm waiting for the perennials to grow and I'm glad my garden and yard isn't as big as yours. Enjoy your garden days and tours. Pamela

Oh, gaspity, gaspity, gasp, gasp!

Carolyn, I've been extra busy the past couple of weeks, too, and, somehow, didn't realize that you had a new "header". It is SO beautiful! Your whole blog is but that's a long story to explain! ;)

I've been thinking about you almost every day - every time I look at my garden, in fact (of course.=]) And, it's funny that you should mention weeds because that's what makes me think of you - only that, you must be busy, busy, busy these days! If you remember, I finally started my baby garden, last autumn, after everything had basically gone dormant. It is so exciting to see that all but two of my plants not only made it but are thriving. The thing is, I didn't want to scratch around or trim things back until everything had a chance to appear. Then, I went to NYC, then, it rained for a week and a half. What I'm trying to say is, I quite suddenly have weeds, too! =] Good thing I LIKE weeding. I'm thinking that you can't mind it too terribly much, yourself or you wouldn't be the gardener extraordinaire that you are.

Loveliness is oozing out of your fingertips, Carolyn. Happy Spring!

Love, Katy Noelle xo
