Come for Lunch!

Hello everyone,
Glad you could stop by on this nice sunny  winter day. You are just in time for lunch so have a seat right here in the kitchen where it is nice and cozy by the  stove and the sun shining in.

I have set the table with my red and white transferware dishes.
The red and white willow teacups are very old and belonged to my husbands great, great Aunt.

I love these sunny days even if it is still cold outside.

Love my toile candle from a trip to New Hampshire a few years ago.
The silver was my Mom"s.

I love this pitcher that was a Christmas gift from my friend Heather making it very hard for Santa to compete!

Pretty carnations from the grocery store.

As you can see I have an assortment of patterns but they all go together nicely.

So grab a  seat and I will get the lunch on and then we can linger over a nice cup of tea!

I will be joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday again.

Thank you for stopping in and please come again!

Carolyn

Carolyn, the pinks in your header are absolutely gorgeous! And the all red transferware table is very impressive--even a candle! The pattern on the salad plates is very interesting. Your table is in a beautiful setting with the sun coming in the window through the lace curtains. Linda

Your previous post on the sunlight streaming through the window is wonderful and I would sit for hours and enjoy the view of your beautiful home! We have a little sitting room 11 X 11 and the sunlight streams in every morning..love it! Have a great rest of the week.

Oh, this was so pretty. I really was enjoy ing looking at all the details on all of the red china ;) :) I have one red china plate "Merrie Olde England" is the pattern, I think. It's almost identical to some of your pieces :) :) How wonderful that you've been able to pull different patterns together. Oh, and the stories behind some of your pieces, those are the best :) :) love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

We can probably linger of at least six cups of tea as I turn over every single one of your glorious red transferware pieces to see who made each one. Love the lace dripping off the shelf over the louvres. Love everything about this gorgeous environment that you have created! I always think that if red transferware took home a report card, it would always have an A+ for "Plays Well with Others." Thank you for sharing your beautiful design and for stopping by my post. Please, come visit often. Cherry Kay

One of my favorite things in this post is your beautiful bay window!! I think you should consider a post on all your window treatments around the house! I would love to see them in detail. The table is divine as always.
Blogger has been very wonky lately and has some blogs posting signatures instead of images and some blogs that usually post an image show none. Very frustrating! I see your header is still wordless so I am guessing you have had no luck.

Carolyn this post is a vision of beauty! I love your diningroom. And the transfer always makes the loveliest table setting.
I adored your sunshiny post too. I love it when the light comes in like that and we are able to capture it for always.

We haven't gotten the amount of snow this Winter as we usually do, but because of the winds it seems like more. The drifts are very high still and are melting so slow. I don't know when I will see the back beds or the grass. Behind us is a very large 160 acre alfalfa field and I believe all of the snow from that field is piled in my backyard. I am not getting too anxious yet for Spring because I have so much in the house yet to do in the way of cleaning. So I am patiently waiting.....how about you?
sending hugs
