Afternoon Tea with Friends,

Hello everyone,
I hope you all enjoyed a special Valentine's Day! I decided to host an afternoon tea with some special friends of mine one day last week.

I quickly shot a few photos of the afternoon for a keepsake- and also to share with you my Tuesday Teatime friends!

I decided to set up an extra table in the kitchen for us to enjoy our tea around the kitchen stove as it was a sunny but cold day.

I made a blackberry lemon cream cake, chocolate cheesecake, biscuits with rhubarb jam. Heather made the pretty heart cookies.

This gluten free crustless chocolate cheesecake is very easy to make and it is delicious. The recipe came from Lynn's Kitchen Adventures if you would like to have it click here.
I went with a pink theme so lots of pretty pink tulips.

We used my pretty pink and white china

I have been friends with some of these lovely ladies for 30 years.
We enjoyed sitting around chatting and the afternoon went by so quickly. We will have to do this again soon!
Well ,now another snowy windy day is predicted for us again tomorrow so I think I will dig out my sewing machine and work on some small projects.

Today, I am joining Sandi again at Rose Chintz Cottage for her lovely TeaTime Tuesday so all you tea lovers head on over if you haven't already.

Thank you for visiting,

Carolyn

Blackberry lemon cream cake sounds delicios and I really, really like the cup and saucer in the close up above your teapot. It makes me think of an English hedgerow in early summer. You have such pretty china.

Oh how I would love to be a guest at your tea. Your afternoon tea with friends was I am quite sure so very appreciated. I had my girls dinner group to my house just last week. We call ourselves the YaYa's and we have all been very close friends for many years as well. Sharing with the growing of our own children and now with our grandchildren. It is so special to have such long time friends. I posted about my dinner on my blog too.
