Christmas at Home

 Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a joyful Christmas and maybe now some time to relax and enjoy family and friends. We enjoyed having all our family here at our home for our traditional big turkey dinner and seeing the excitement of the 'little ones'.
The photos above and below is our granddaughter Jessie who is 5 years old.

We are blessed with a few of these little angels who come to visit. Last week it was a different angel wearing these wings.

Snow!  Well, we didn't really have a white Christmas this year but we did get a dusting of snow by Cristmas evening. However, since then we have had quite a good covering of the fine white stuff! Today was windy and stormy most of the day so it was a cozy day indoors.

Our little garden cottage nestled in the snow.

Christmas night at our house.
Winter has arrived!

Thank you for popping by today and also a big thank you to all who left good wishes to us over the past week.

Enjoy the rest of the holiday season,

Carolyn

Your little Jessica is so adorable and your home is always so warm and inviting. Always eye candy to visit. I hope you have such a wonderful New Year.

I'm not sure if I have ever mentioned this but DH and I go to Atlanta fairly often since he has business there. We always go to one of our favorite restaurants, Atlanta Fish Market for dinner, they fly in seafood from all over the world. DH being the raw oyster lover that he is always orders a tray of raw oysters for apps. Three from our area, 3 from Oregon, 3 from the NE US and 3 from Prince Edward's Island. I always ask him which he preferred and he always responds, Prince Edward Island. I think it must be because the waters there are colder. I thought that interesting and have told him that I visit your blog. Y'all have some mighty fine oysters in your area.

Dearest Carolyn,

We even got some fluffy snow on our 'Second' Christmas day. That's still the European way where it is observed for two days officially. The snow melted down within hours though...
Your place looks like a cozy place for now! Cozy with cute little angels visiting you and having all your loved ones around. That's a blessing in itself!

Enjoy the year's ending and have a Happy New Year!

Dear Carolyn,

Thank you for your sweet comment! I call mum everyday and slowly she is starting to feel a bit better. It's good to hear you had a lovely Christmas with your family. Your house looks very warm and inviting. Your granddaughter looks like a real angel. I am glad snow arrived after all. I can remember watching, I believe, cronicles of Avonlea. When your house and the island is covered with snow it always reminds me of that.

I don't know the tv series you mentioned, but I will definetely check it out!! The title sounds familiar to me. I am watching Cranford at the moment. Have you seen that series?

Happy day!

Lieve groet, Madelief
