Hello everyone!
Yesterday was a beautiful sunny warm day so it was a good day to have tea in the garden.I want to enjoy my outdoor teas as long as I can ! the garden is taking on its's fall colors. You can see the virginia creeper on the back wall is turning rusty red.
But our little tea is still more of a pretty in pink theme so I am using my chintz tea set today.
I made some sticky date cake for today.
I bought this set a few years ago-it has 6 cups and saucers ,a creamer and sugar bowl and of course a teapot.
We still have roses blooming and although we had frost it wasn't a killing frost so the garden is still fine.
I love chintz as well as tranferware dishes.
As many of you know I am a big fan of the Victoria magazine and i love their books as well so this book is well loved! I often look to Victoria for inspiration as I know many of you do as well.
So sit down and enjoy a cup of tea with me on this beautiful Autumn day in the garden and after we can enjoy a stroll through the garden as it is taking on it's Autumn glory.
Today I am joining Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage for her lovely Tea Time Tuesday and also Kathy at A Delightsome Life for her Victoria-A Return to Loveliness party.
Thank you for visiting me,
Carolyn

So lovely, your garden is still so pretty and it's the end of September. I love chintz china, I have six very old, very pretty plates that were given to me about 24 years ago, I treasure them.
Hugs, Cindy
Hi Carolyn...Thank you for having me over for tea. I enjoyed taking the tour of the outdoor tea in your garden :) :) :) I've always enjoyed tea things and have been especially fond of the tea sets that have flowers ALL OVER them :) :) Very nice....and I like how you added some roses from your garden!!! Have a lovely week. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)
Well Carolyn, I look to Victoria for inspiration often, but I look to your blog for exactly the same inspiration. As I have told you before...your blog is as beautiful as any issue of Victoria. This post is so lovely. I love the roses that rebloom in the Fall. Don't they take on the richest colors? We have had a couple of light frosts too, but the garden is still so green. It makes me wonder about when things will turn their beautiful colors. I do have one tree that is totally yellow now, but that is it.
hugs
What a lovely and beautiful tea party. Everything from your flowers to your tea pot are a thiing of beauty! It is a gray and dismal rainy day in Ohio and your tea party is a ray of sunshine!
Dearest Carolyn,
Love your pillows and the late roses from your garden! They are my favorites for this tea... Oh, how much I would love to join you with such a setting!
Have a great week and greetings from Georgia,

Your autumn tea in the garden looks inviting and the chintz tea set looks right at home outside.
