Picnic Days in all Seasons

Hello everyone,

I hope you had a lovely weekend.

It was a bitter cold one here...colder
than it has been in many years.
Although I like winter I am happy
that it has warmed up.

Thank you Laura for the suggestion that
I do a picnic theme for a post.

I went through my old pictures to
collect some for this post....
hope you enjoy it!

Winter picnics with a thermos of hot cocoa and
a sweet treat are fun if you are dressed warm.

Another autumn picnic by a lake.

A sweet picnic at the park

I have collected some old vintage picnic
baskets at thrift shops over the years.
This one got a coat of green paint.

I think this one is from my early years
of blogging. The mock orange in the
background was in full bloom and
has the most beautiful fragrance.

Thank you for visiting me today.

Take care,

    Carolyn

  3. Good morning Carolyn,
Thank you for compiling your beautiful pictures of picnics. I love going on a picnic even if it is just in the back yard or in the fields near by. I recall your pictures of the green picnic basket in one of your early blog postings. It's one of my favorites.
It's going to be a cloudy day here with temperature up to 4C. Possible mixed precipitation in the afternoon. Our weekend weather is expected to be sunny and high of 3C. There is a promise of spring in the February sunshine. Three months until the lilacs boom!
    Warm regards, Laura
