Hello everyone,
On a sunny afternoon our little
sunroom is my favorite spot for
a cup of tea.
Pretty pink and white china
and some fresh spring tulips,
along with some sunshine
bring a feeling of spring time.
I love making collages
Well, now that we are done of tea I
want to share my exciting news with you.
I have been a fan of the Victoria magazine
since it was first published 30 years ago
and yes I am one of those people who has every
issue since it first came out. I looked forward
to each issue arriving and enjoyed the beauty
of gardens, teas, lace and linens, holiday escapes
recipes and so much more.
So, I am delighted to share that our garden here
on Prince Edward Island is going to be a feature
in the upcoming May/June issue.....a dream come
true for me!
Kate Sears was the photographer who came in
early July 2015. It was peony season and the late
lilacs were blooming as well and I think the garden
put on a pretty good show! I can't wait to see the photos
she took ....I see she got my best side in the shot above!
Anyway, more on that later when the issue comes out.
In the meantime check out there website here and enjoy
lots of feminine beauty.
I hope you have a lovely weekend!
Carolyn

So happy for you! I am looking forward to seeing your beautiful gardens in the Victoria magazine!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Truly a dream come true! I have every issue as well, even the ones where they lost their way a bit, trying to modernize for a few years.
ReplyDeleteYour lovely garden is more than worthy to grace the pages of Victoria, and I can't wait to see it there.
The pink and white room is so delightful. Love it, love it, love it. And Carolyn, VICTORIA! Oh, how totally awesome. You must be swooning with delight. SOOOOO happy for you. Susan
ReplyDeleteI am thrilled for you to be featured in Victoria Magazine! What a perfect match, and I'm anxious to see MORE fabulous photographs of your garden.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Carolyn! What a perfect fit your beautiful gardens and your beautiful style is for a beautiful magazine like Victoria. You probably know what a big fan I am of all those things. Can't wait to see your feature!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Carolyn, your blogging sisters have been saying all along that Aiken House and Gardens belong in a magazine.
ReplyDeleteIt amazes me how many women use your photos on FB, thank heavens for your watermark and if it's not there, I have left a comment at times to give you credit.
Looking forward to the summer issue of Victoria, so proud to have a fellow Canadian featured.
Congratulations! I've been a fan of Victoria magazine for a long, long time, too. I'll look for your garden in that issue to come!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you! Your gardens and home are simply beautiful and will be just right for Victoria magazine! I've been a subsciber for many years! Can't wait to see the photos in the magazine!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't surprise me a bit that so many readers of this blog are Victoria Magazine collectors and fans. Congratulations Carolyn. That is the ultimate.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Carolyn!! Like you I am a huge Victoria fan and have all the issues. I also had the TREMENDOUS privilege of being the Artist-In-Residence for Victoria in 2011. Love that biscotti crock full of tulips. Are they from Vanco?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the Victoria Magazine feature! It was only a matter of time, as your blog is so very beautiful!!
Can't wait of my next issue of Victoria. Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteLove.
ReplyDeleteWhat exciting news for you Carolyn! Congratulations on the article in Victoria magazine. I will be watching for that one when it comes out. Your photos of this pink and white tea today are so pretty. It sure doesn't feel like spring here this weekend but it will come soon and we'll all be happy to see it.
ReplyDeleteI would like to visit your garden this summer. Where is it? I was born in Prince Edward Island; it is forever a favorite place!
ReplyDeleteHow sad that it takes nearly two years to get it into print!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely that I can turn to your blog for my pretty-fix between issues!
I should have let you know long, long ago that seeing your blog lowers my blood pressure and takes me into a wonderfully peaceful place!
Congrats Carolyn for the Victoria spread,,,,, but I don't think anyone can take better photos of your stunning gardens than you can! And the way you do your collages and putting the various photos together, is just such eye candy. I'll be sure to pick up that issue of Victoria. I used to love it, but for awhile, I agree, it seemed too modern and "classy" and just didn't fit the bill anymore. I haven't bought one for years! I'll need to check one out and see if they've gone back to their "old" ways. The "pink room" is just MY cup of tea! Hugs. .Marilyn
ReplyDeleteYour garden is SUPERIOR to any magazine! Your garden should be made into a mini movie ! Ha ! Spectacular!
ReplyDeleteSuch exciting news. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for the nice comments.
ReplyDeleteGarlands of Grace,
We are located just outside of Charlottetown
. You can email me if you decide to visit the Island this summer.
Hope you all have a great week!
Carolyn
How exciting Carolyn. You home are gardens are definitely ones that should be on the pages of Victoria. I can't wait to get my copy.

Hearty congratulations! Victoria has chosen well and wisely...
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you and looking forward to the article! Dreams do come true!
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, I am thrilled that your garden will be featured in Victoria. I want to be sure and get that one. I have a lot of issues, but not all of them. Your entire blog, home, garden, fashion etc. should fill the pages of Victoria for months in my opinion. I told my husband and daughter the other day, that one of my dreams is to visit your garden tour one day!
ReplyDeleteMuch love and congratulations!
Rachel
Congratulations. I will have to pick up that issue. I was a huge fan of Victoria Magazine. Your photos and garden are definitely worthy. How fun. I thought I was a follower but quite possibly got booted off with the big Google purge a year or so ago. I'm following again and I'll look forward to every post.
