Hello everyone,
Last night I went to the open house at
Fanningbank the home of our Lieutenant
Governor in Charlottetown. It is something
I look forward to every December.
The took lots of photos so you could
come along too. Isn't it breathtaking?
So elegant and beautiful.
I didn't use my flash and it was
harder to get enough light but I
think you will get an impression of
it all anyway.
Shelley Campbell did the decorating again this
year and she always does an amazing job. She also
decorates homes for people at Christmas time.
Moving on ~ love this manger scene.
The first impression of the elegant dining
room. I love how the doorways were
decorated.
The table is all set for Christmas dinner.
My photo of this tree doesn't do
it justice ......so beautiful!
There was a choir singing lovely Christmas songs
on the wide staircase.
with a red and white theme.
Beautiful!
Fanningbank
Thank you to Lieutenant Governor
Frank Lewis and his wife Dorothy
for such an enjoyable evening.
I will be back soon with my photos
from our trip to Old Quebec soon.
Thanks for visiting!
Carolyn
Nice! Love the lighting.
ReplyDeleteFanningbrook is stunning this time of year all decorated for Christmas. I haven't been there since a young friend of mine played in a concert there. The LG's granddaughter was one of the young ladies in my hubby's and my Young Adult group. The Island is a small place, isn't it? One never knows who they're going to meet along the way. Thanks for sharing, Carolyn, and enjoy your weekend.

Love the paintings on the walls, especially the one with the white cat & the nativity below it. The gilded mirrors & crystal shandies are gorgeous, a beautiful place. I would have really enJOYed the choir, too, Carolyn. I've added to my bucket list. Who knows! One day we just might visit PEI in December! XO Thanks for sharing your photos o Fanningbank. Really lovely!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Wishing you a beautiful day,
