Hello everyone,
As many of you know I love dishes
of all shapes and colors but I especially
love transferware of all colors and the older
it looks all the better I like it often times.
I don't often see this teal transferware
around here so my collection of it is smaller.
A few touches of Christmas are
showing up in the kitchen.
The only marking on the
bottom of these teacups is England.
A trip to an antique mall near
Kennebunkport Mainea few years
ago scored a cart full of old
tranferware for next to nothing.
I have a small and a large soup
tureen in this pattern
I love these handmade sugar
cookies that are way to pretty
to eat! No, I didn't make them.
Christmas is going to be here
before we know it so we will
make a trip to the attic soon to take
our tubs etc. of decorations.
To see more of my teal green and white transferware
collection go here.
A couple of days ago on a walk
up our road I picked a small
bouquet of flowers......not
something that you usually see
on Prince Edward Island this time
of the year. However, today at times
there were a few snow flurries so we
know winter is on it's way!
Happy Thanksgiving to all my
American friends!
Take care,
Carolyn
The green and white transfer ware is very pretty and is nice for Christmas. How fun to find those late blooms along the road. I've seen a few as well but didn't pick them. We had a dusting of snow the last two nights but they both melted. Christmas is coming!
ReplyDeleteLove it all, Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteThat silvery mason jar is precious, too.
Wishing you a beautiful day,
Linda at Beautiful Ideas
Beautiful! I have only one teal bread and butter plate. I have only found the one in my travels.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day!
I must tell you that I love your collectibles as well as your excellent photography and take joy in seeing your spectacular location. Your work is inspiring. A nice way to begin my Thanksgiving morning.
ReplyDeleteHaving lost my home to a tornado the day after Christmas of last year along with many collectibles amassed over a 50 year period, I am thankful to be alive and to be able to prepare a holiday meal for my family. I look forward to more of your lovely posts.
Lovely as always, Carolyn! The mercury glass holding the greenery and berries is very festive and the cookies are adorable! Have a beautiful day and thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
Always a joy to visit your blog ,Carolyn. Something about the sea, the east coast people, your gorgeous Victorian home, Maud Montgomery and the simple life of the Atlantic folks. Wish I was there! Still trying to convince my husband to move down to the East Coast : ) Thanks for sharing and keeping my dreams awake.
