Good morning!
It is a beautiful snowy winter white
world here this morning as we had
our first snowfall of the season
overnight. I always love the first
snowfall as it so dramatically
changes the world around us into
one of pristine beauty!
So come along with me as we
tour around our winter white
world. Our pond has a skim of ice
but also still some open water.....
not skating time yet!
Love how the trees are laden.
Our little Boathouse in winter.
The view from the porch.
Walking around the pond.
Our home and boathouse from
the far side of the pond.
Our Gardener's Cottage on
the other side of our property.
This was shot from the upstairs
window.
Our home and garden in winter.

I hope you enjoyed a little tour
through the snow with me today.
I.know that technically it is not
winter yet, but for me winter
starts with the first beautiful
snowfall or at least cold weather.
I think there is more snow on the way
in a couple of days ...hoping that
means we will have a white Christmas
this year!
Have a nice day!
Carolyn

ReplyDeleteHI Carolyn, it's been a while since I've commented but just had to say how glorious it all looks. I would so love to have snow fall where I live then I wouldn't mind winter so much. Truly your home looks like magic!

So beautiful! Thanks for sharing. :-) I love snow, but we only get one or decent snowfalls a year where we live in North Carolina. And usually they are not until January or February...
ReplyDeleteI love the touches of blue in the chairs and shutters with all the white. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the beautiful tour. I would love to see some snow. But in Southern California we are still very happy with the rain we had last weekend. We could use lots more! Your pictures give me so much pleasure, thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteProfoundly peaceful & beautiful...Thank You, Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteGetting EXCITED! Ya know why...Lol HUGS
Wishing you & Andrew a lovely day,
Linda at Beautiful Ideas
Magical! And so peaceful. I admit I am dreading the first snowfall here. It will not be nearly as beautiful as where you are! Thanks for sharing your world's beauty and wonder with all of us!
ReplyDeleteYou must admit, the snow covered grounds make your place look like a fairy tale winter. We're still with green grass and in the mid 40's F today. Maybe December will bring us some snow too!
ReplyDeleteI never look a snow in my live.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely! I wished I lived in a place that got snow like this. Maybe someday we can move from the rainy pacific north west (u.s.)Thank you for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteHello Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a wonderful fall season.
Your photos are magnificent. It is a winter wonderland.
Thank you for bringing a smile to my face.
Janet
What a magical world it becomes when the snows fly! I love all of your photos. When I lived on property, I always loved going out after the first snow and snap snap snap went the camera.. I especially loved the fences and arbors covered with it. It always seems to quiet too! Now that I live in town, there's not much to take pictures of.. so I usually go for a walk where there are some trees and fences!
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking! SO happy for you!
ReplyDeleteIt's so beautiful, Carolyn. I love the way snow transforms the landscape into something magical. How I wish for snow here on our island on the other side of Canada. Perhaps....
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty, Carolyn... like images out of a movie.
ReplyDeleteLovely

Carolyn, your lovely property is absolutely gorgeous with the new fallen snow! We are getting a tiny bit today, but mostly freezing drizzle.
