Hello everyone,
I hope you are enjoying a beautiful
sunny weekend as we are here.
This afternoon I set up for tea in the
garden as it has warmed up here and
all the spring bulbs are blooming.
The Hillside Garden is awash
with color.....mainly a mix of daffodils.
There is no shortage of blooms
for bouquets from now until October.
Sunny yellow china for our tea.
It is so nice to be able to have tea
in the garden again.
An old garden chair holds
my bouquet of daffodils.
Well, I am off to enjoy a lazy afternoon
with a book and another cup of tea.
It is our Victoria Day weekend here so
I hope my fellow Canadians enjoy their
long weekend.
Take care,
Carolyn

ReplyDeleteLOVELY YELLOW TEA!
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, You have a magic touch for all things TEA. Lovely china, table services, tea cups, tables, etc. Just the right amount of beauty to make me feel ever so welcomed to your place in bogland. Always a delight to stop and visit.

Your setting for tea looks really pretty and inviting. Daffodils are all finished here in the UK and I have buds coming on my roses now and lilacs are flowering in local gardens though not in mine. I love lilacs but have never had one in my own garden.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful post. I am always interested in how other parts of the world's gardens are progressing and always compare it to how my own garden has progressed. You are just now enjoying your daffodils and ours finished blooming in early March. I do so enjoy seeing how your Spring is progressing. King Edward Island must be the most perfect place to garden. Here in N FL our heat and humidity has set in and does lots of damage to our gardens. When we have our daffodils blooming it seems that we have little else so as a result I never take pictures, it doesn't look pristine. About the time other things are blooming the heat and humidity sets in and it's over for a pretty garden, a constant battle. We can't plant many tropicals because here we do get hard freezes. No one said gardening is easy so I'll just plug on. Beautiful post.

The daffodils seems blowing in the wind like waves on the sea, it's really beautiful !!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a totally delightful yellow tea setting, Carolyn. Lucky to have your daffodils last through October. Here, they have a much shorter season. Spring blooms and then puff! Gone! Susan
ReplyDeleteYour garden is just breathtaking Carolyn!
