Happy Weekend!
We are expecting a snow storm here tonight and
it is starting to look pretty white out there.
Anyway, this week a beautiful magazine arrived in the
mail from Japan. Last October our home was photographed
for a magazine featuring Paris, Provence,New York and
Prince Edward Island.
Our dining area....you can see my
red and white transferware china
in the cupboard.
Sorry for the glare on the photos.
I can't read Japanese but I do
enjoy all the photos.
It is really special to be featured
along with our special little red haired
friend ' Anne of Green Gables'.
I am sure many of you have enjoyed
this wonderful book by L.M.Montgomery.
The photos on the Island were taken
by W.P.Maund Photography.
Love this shot of Anne.
It was fun being a part of this and
thank you Takashi Kikawa from
Maple Homes ...I look forward to
seeing you again this summer.
This is Elmwood a popular
Heritage Inn here on the Island.
Provence ~ I would love to visit there
someday!
Hope you enjoyed a little peek inside
World Styles.
It is so pretty out right now with the snow
that I might have to grab my camera and go
out to take some shots.
and for those of you affected by this snow
storm say warm and cozy and drink lots
of tea!
Take care,
Carolyn
Congratulations. Your home looks so beautiful in the magazine. We are just digging out of our snowstorm last weekend. Hope you do not get too much.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Carolyn! You sure do get around for a little Island girl. The pictures look wonderful. Stay snug!

ReplyDeleteHow interesting
I wouldn't think anybody in japan would like our shabby chic cottage living
and all our painted white furniture

congratulations the magazine spread is lovely;
ReplyDeleteCongrats! How exciting! You and your home so deserve to be featured internationally! And who can resist the charms of Anne of Green Gables - read all those books growing up.
ReplyDeleteI would "love" to have a copy of this magazine. Is there any chance you would have a source, where a copy could be ordered?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on being featured in that magazine. Japanese tourists are known to love Anne of Green Gables and now they will want to drive by your home too. I would love to visit PEI sometime too. My great grandfather was born in Charlottetown. Sunshine always, Sheila

Congratulations Carolyn, you have so many Japanese visitors in your garden during the summer so it's nice for the rest of their country to see your home as well. It's also nice to have a complementary magazine sent so you have a memento.
