Hello everyone,
On this lovely winter day, I thought
I would share some of the ways I
have enjoyed using plaids and tartens
over the past few years.
I used a mix of plaids to decorate our
bedroom a few years ago.
I like a mix of plaids and tartans...
even a bit of toile in there.
A plaid cushion for the garden
bench on the porch of the boathouse.
A milk delivery on the porch.....
alas it is no longer delivered to
the door as it once was.
Vintage skates from a yard sale.
If only there was a little more
snow, this would have been perfect!
A pretty vintage tartan picnic box.
Love these little red shoes.
A winter skate?
A snowy winter day a few
years ago.
Our porch
A snowy porch picnic.
I still have my Christmas baking to
do and a few gifts to buy......what about
you are you all ready for Christmas?
Take care,
Carolyn

Beautiful! Happy Christmas! xx
Loved your post, it just puts one in the Christmas spirit. Here in N FL we are in the mid 70's during the day but will probably see temps in the low 30's either tomorrow evening or Fri. evening. Unseasonably warm temps even for N FL but I think you have seen some snow this year? We of course, never see snow but cooler temps would be nice. Merry Christmas Carolyn to you and your family.
From warm N FL, Carolyn
You're so right: plaids and tartans do seem to fit right in with Christmas holiday decorating. Thanks for giving me ideas! -Beth
I thought 'plaid' was American for 'tartan'. You learn something new every day. :)
Love those red shoes. xx
Everything is so lovely in the snow!!!!
Here, in Belgium, we still have 15°C...
I have winter skate in my porch like you!
(sorry fo my bad english!!!!)

Great article with excellent idea! I appreciate your post.
thank you for sharing.
Beautiful! I love every photo, the al fresco setting with the little vintage stove is just sublime!
Looks perfect as always! lOVE the little red shoes! Precious! I am also mad about plaid and draped a large throw over my mantle with a large picket fence and lanterns on each side! Milk buckets and pails adorned the sides!
