Red Transferware Tea

Hello everyone,

It is a nice sunny day here today ....
a good day for an afternoon tea break.

I made some  whole wheat currant scones
for us to enjoy with our tea.

We are using my treasured
red and white transferware.
The  dishes today are all
Mason ~ Vista except the teapot.
I have lots of transferware and
this is the time of year that I
appreciate it the most as I am
indoors more.

The teapot is Venetian.I have been
collecting this transferware for many
years and mostly one or two pieces
at a time.

Some were lovely gifts.

Have a scone with some jam?

Well, now that garden season is almost over
you will probably be seeing a lot more in and
                                               about the house.
I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for
                                               Tea Time Tuesday and
                                                Bernideen's Tea Time Blog for
                                               Friends Sharing Tea.

Hope you enjoy the comfort of
a good cup of tea this afternoon!

                                                                         Take care,

                                                                               Carolyn

  3. Carolyn, I am swooning over your red transferware! What's not to love about it! I find the colour is so cheerful and pretty above all the other colours although I do like them all. I have the same teapot but I never knew it was Venetian. Thanks for mentioning that. It was a beautiful day today. Enjoy the rest of your week.

  14. How absolutely beautiful, the red and white transferware and the red roses and jam! What a lovely tablescape you've created. I own just a few pieces of red transferware that I inherited from my grandmother, and now I think I might have to get them out and use them! Thanks and enjoy some autumn coziness! -Beth

  18. I love red tranferware and started collecting about three years ago when I found a set at our local thrift. Most of mine is Mason. I have it displayed on a shelf at the top of bead board in our living room. Now and then I have to bring it down and enjoy it. Love your beautiful photos! Visiting from Rose Chintz Cottage.
    hugs,
    Jann
