Relax,,,,,,,Your're on Island Time

                                                                           Hello everyone,

Here on our little Island (Prince Edward Island)
where time seems to go at a more relaxed pace,
we are enjoying some perfect summer days.

I love this little pillow that I found in a small
shop in the lovely little town of Georgetown.
The shop is in a new colorful building just coming
into Georgetown and they had more for $19 as well
as some other pretty pillows etc.
Georgetown is such a pretty place to go in summer.
It is perfect for our boathouse ...love
the color but also the embroidered
                                                                   Relax....your're on Island Time.

Hope you have some time to relax and if
you are on the Island why not head to the
beach for awhile. There is nothing more
relaxing then the sound of the waves lapping
on the shore and the occasional cry of the
                                                             seagulls.

However, if you are looking to relax on
Friday there are still tickets left for my
annual Garden Party Tea.

Relax and enjoy your day!

  1. Just looking at your beautiful relaxing blue vignette in your boathouse makes me feel I've been transported to "Island Time". You've done a wonderful job creating the look that "goes" with that fabulous pillow. Wish I lived closer so I could attend your Garden Party!

  3. All the aqua color is perfect for your little boathouse. How pretty. Now wouldn't I love to join in one of your garden teas? Just living a little too far away. Hope it goes well. I love the umbrella shot!

  4. Oh what nautical perfect awesomeness!

    What sweet happy pictures.

I grew up on an island and my sister would love that pillow, because she bought the family house on the lake so it would stay in the family.

Last summer they painted the batten-board ranch house in a neat nautical Cape Cod dark blue.....and she just moments ago shared they painted the limestone long bricks all white. Now we know my mother is rolling in her grave about it, but to be honest - it's a nice touch for what is now a large cottage lake home - gives it a summertime beachy look and I love it.

Rest in peace, Mom. Times have changed in the 20 years since you've left us. ♥♥♥

  5. Know what I love best about this post? The fact that your seasons lag behind mine and many others' whose posts I read, I really savor seeing the seasons through your eyes - timely, rather than rushed. Many are already thinking toward fall (I admit, so am I), but I don't want to rush things. Summer is good, island time is even better. Nice post.
