Hello everyone,
Whenever, I have time these days my favorite place
to go and relax with a tea and a book is our little
boathouse.
Even though it is a short stroll through the
garden to the pond and boathouse it feels
like a little getaway.
The boathouse is furnished with
yard sale and thrift finds etc.
The old door was a $5 find and adds
charm to this corner.
The china is also thrift finds.
I love the teapot..... also $5.
The conservatory on the south
is nice and sunny.
Looking down from the loft.
So, if you can't find me in the garden
there is a good chance I am taking a
little break in the boathouse.
If you would like to see more of the
Boathouse click here.

It is cool and damp here so no
painting today but the garden is
calling my name!
I am joining these tea parties today:
Bernideen's Tea Time Blog.
Rose Chintz Cottage.
Antiques and Teacups.
Enjoy your day!
Carolyn
I am so in love with your boathouse! It looks like the room of my dreams! I don't know how you ever bear to leave it! So romantic, so dreamy, so vintage, so pink, so floral, so, so, so PERFECT! What a wonderful spot.
ReplyDeleteI love these colors. The soft pinks and greens are so restful and one could quickly fall asleep on that sweet bed. Good night!
ReplyDeleteI got so sleepy I forgot to say that teapot was sure a bargain. I don't think I've ever found one so cute for $5.00!
ReplyDeleteOh Carolyn...What a charming retreat! I have a sunroom I love, but your boathouse...and conservatory are wonderful! I love your teacup and teapost. Perfect for a serene and elegant teatime. Thanks so much for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Hi Two Sisters,
ReplyDeleteThe boathouse is 12 by 20 ft. and the conservatory on the back is about 4 Ft by 10 ft. with a small loft on one side.
Rosemary, the door was already pretty much that shade when I bought it. I just gave it a wash of Martha Stewart Plate Green to freshen it up.
Thank you all for your visit and kind words.
Carolyn
