We are getting some snow here today so it is actually
looking like Christmas already, although it probably
won't last more then a day or two this time ...but soon!
Anyway, this summer I bought a box of vintage
Christmas ornaments at a yard sale.
And I bought an old white Christmas
tree as well for a few dollars. I never
thought I would buy a white tree but I
am kind of liking it.
They are so delicate.
Yesterday, a friend and I had fun doing
some Christmas decorating in the Gardener's
Cottage which becomes the Christmas Cottage
this time of year. So when it is all ready for the
season I will do a little photo shoot for you.
I am hoping the snow hangs around for me
to get out with my camera......I have always
loved the beauty of that first snow fall!
Enjoy your weekend!
Carolyn
Absolutely gorgeous! Looking at these lovely decorations brings back very fond memories of childhood Christmases past. Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh Carolyn. I remember those kinds of ornaments! Yes I do.
ReplyDeleteYou know what? I've been looking for a white tree, too. Have lots of pink I want to put on one.
Yours is looking quite stunning. Susan
Those are beautiful vintage ornaments. The white tree fits in so well with your decor.
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn! Oh, your vintage ornaments are beautiful - I just love the soft, pretty colors. And your white Christmas tree is stunning!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed weekend. Hugs!
super!
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI love vintage ornaments. I've managed to save some of my family's from childhood. They bring back lovely memories!
This is the first year that I won't have a white tree, Sigh. Our big flocked tree was over 25 years old and regrettably we had to finally let it go after having tied up the branches for so many years. There was no shame for that tree. It had a good life. I haven't found one I like near the same quality.
I think this christmas I will use a grouping of several smaller trees in our living room, rather than a single large tree, until I commit to just the right white tree! Lol It has already begun!
Have FUN and enJOY the wintry landscape!
Hugs,

It looks so pretty already, Carolyn! I can't wait to see more. It sounds like you found some good yard sale bargains with that tree and the ornaments. Flurries expected here tomorrow and Monday. We had some Thursday afternoon as well, but it didn't amount to much. Thankfully!
ReplyDeleteYour white tree looks beautiful in your little cottage, Carolyn! Those ornaments remind me of those my mother always decorated with. They are long gone now, unfortunately. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
