Hello,
This past weekend my husband and I decided to take
a couple of days and enjoy touring the Island.
So,one day we had a day trip down east and the
next it was the western part of the Island~
Prince Edward Island .
we took along a picnic to enjoy outdoors.
The antique quilt was a $2 find at the 70 mile
yard sale.
A thermos of tea, some healthy sandwiches
with a sweet treat was just what we needed,
by a small stream in a park.
We traveled small back country roads.
And stopped to enjoy a small lake where
the trees where taking on their autumn colors.
The last few days have made quite a difference
in the landscape along the roads but also here
in our garden.
We enjoyed beautiful sunsets both nights
on our drive back home.
I hope you enjoyed coming along for the drive on
an early autumn weekend.
I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday and
Bernideen's Tea Time Blog for Tea in the Garden.
Take care,
Carolyn

ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a lovely trip down east and up west. I love the photos of the sunset; beautiful! That is a nice quilt you found at the Yard Sale.
ReplyDeleteAll our picnics took place on the beach with our family this past summer but I never got any shots. I focused more on the scenery and the kids playing in the sand. Thank you for sharing and joining me for Tea Time. Have a lovely week, Carolyn.
Blessings,
Sandi

ReplyDeleteHappy Autumn to you!

Beautiful! I would love to know what was served on your Autumn Island Picnic. Your sandwiches seem to be made of sprouts and tomatoes on rye. Perhaps with Dijon and cheese? There is a frosted (raisin or cranberry?) scone on your plate, with perhaps a wedge of melon and a slice of cucumber?
