Hello everyone,
I hope your week is going well. We had a beautiful day
here yesterday and I was happy to be able to take some
time to go to lunch with my daughter and of course a
little shopping.
One day last week I gave our screened porch it's new
summer look for this year.
As always, my little collection of mauve/lilac and
white came from thrift shops, yardsales etc.
I am still enjoying my lilacs but the
season will soon be gone and the peonies
will take center stage.
Hope you are enjoying relaxing on
your summer porch or your favorite
little summer space.
I have a small tour this afternoon(14)
and it is going to be an umbrella day again
but at least it is not cold and windy like last
Saturday.
If you would like to see more summer
porches you can check out my porches
board on pinterest here
Thanks for visiting!
Carolyn
I think your porch is my favorite part of your house, not that I've ever been there! I love the bed there; my husband likes taking a nap on our porch!
ReplyDeleteSwoon worthy!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh... how beautiful. We are screening our porch this fall, you are giving me ideas. I hadn't thought about a twin bed... very cute! Love it all... hope you can share it at Home Sweet Garden... http://creativecountrymom.blogspot.com/2014/06/home-sweet-garden-617.html

I really love your screen porch with all the lavender...and a bed on it! Do you ever sleep out there in the summer. It looks so cozy and fun.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Carolyn. One question: how, exactly, do you protect the fabrics, let alone the mattress, on a bed in a screen-only porch? I'm paranoid about the threat of leaks in a totally enclosed sunroom, so I guess I'm just a worry wart!
ReplyDeleteJust delicious!
ReplyDeleteYour porche is just beautiful ,i wish i had a porsch like that !

ReplyDeleteI love the shades of purple you've chosen for the summer porch. That quilt on the bed is so pretty. The sun came out here around 4 this afternoon after heavy rain most of the day. It cleared off tonight so you should have a pretty good day tomorrow. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI have been searching for years for a twin iron bed like yours. I'm not having any luck with vendors willing to ship.
Local pickup only. I'm in Texas and not good for vintage beds unless you go to the annual fairs and they put prices like they're selling to royalty. Would you know if your antique shops happen to ship to Texas? Thank you.
I adore your home, cottage and especially your porches. I could live in fairyland there.
Hilary
I want to live on your beautiful porch forever and ever.
