Hello everyone,
Hope you enjoyed a lovely weekend as we did here. We are finally
having those warm sunny days we have been longing for and the
garden is changing daily. June is my favorite month because
everything is so lush, green and fresh with the promise of long
sunny summer days!
After church on Sunday we enjoyed having our
lunch out here in"Martha's Garden"
The garden still has hundreds of daffodils and tulips blooming.
I know, behind everyone else but so
much still to come! The peonies and lilacs
will soon be in bloom.
There's Martha herself carrying water jugs.
Daffodil bouquets on a cheery vintage
handmade quilt.
pretty double tulips.
We enjoyed our lunch to the tune
of this sweet yellow finch.
The finches are building a nest in
a shrub in here.
I am off to do some work in
the garden on this beautiful
spring day.
Thank you for visiting,
Carolyn
How truly lovely, Carolyn! Isn't that bird song just good for the heart, though? I love the cloud of forget-me-nots! :) and our lilacs are just turning brown, alas. I wish that I could go back a week and enjoy them all over again.

Beautiful arena for photos and that quilt is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful inspiration. Such a feast for the eyes. Those double tulips are incredible. I love the lovely and vibrant shade of pink. My roses are in full bloom right now. I am over the moon.. I hope you can stop my to see them as I just shared a few photos of them on my blog.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful week,
Janet
So pretty; love the quilt, chairs and bird! And your granddaughter is adorable!
ReplyDeleteCarolyn,
ReplyDeleteThese are all lovely, but the photo of your finch perched on the floral scroll looks like a painting. What beauty of form, color, and perfect composition! You make me long to reach for my brushes.
Blessings,
Fiordelisa
