Hello everyone,
A couple of weeks ago we spent a few days in
charming historic Beaufort, South Carolina.
After spending a few days in Mount Dora we
drove up to Beaufort and from there drove up
to Charleston for a day as well.
We loved our time in Beaufort as it had beautiful historic
homes with lots of color.
How is that for a southern porch?
Spanish moss hanging from the trees.
We enjoy walking through the streets so we past this pretty
Bed and Breakfast along the way.
Beaufort is a coastal town so lovely water views.
We always enjoy the horse and carriage rides when we go
to a historical town as it is a relaxing way to see the sights
and the drivers fill you in on the history as you go so some
of these photos were shot from the back of the carriage.
Beautiful gardens!
Love this stairway at the Beaufort Inn.
More pretty porches.
We went to a beautiful beach on a little Island
not far from where we stayed. It was a treat to
enjoy a few hours there.
One of my favorite shops had this pretty
spring tablescape.
This was the beautiful Inn that we stayed at for
a few nights.
~The Two Suns Inn.
It was beautiful inside and out.
This was the view we had as we relaxed
on the porch swing......life doesn't get
much better than that!!!
Thank you for coming along!

So beautiful! We visited Beaufort, NC years ago, but have never been to Beaufort, SC. On my list now; thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite places to visit when we go to Hilton Head. I have got to find that B&B and enjoy the view! Oh, my heart is there!
ReplyDeleteHow I would love to live in Beaufort! We visited there several years ago and I took pictures of some of the same houses that you did! My favorite is the pink one! It wasn't a Bed and Breakfast at the time though. Now I'm thinking I need to go back just so I can stay in that pretty pink house!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you enjoyed Beaufort. I live 5 minutes from the historic area where you stayed. Would have been nice to meet each other.
ReplyDeleteI could SO live in SC, Carolyn. It's so beautiful! Love the gorgeous homes and spacious porches - with their famous blue ceilings. :) It looks like you had a fabulous time!

Carolyn, I've been to Beaufort and Charleston, SC, many times just heaven...Glad to see that Beaufort has come back once again...Never been to Mt. Dora, though. Your photos are lovely as always...Horse and buggy rides are the best!...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful homes and scenery where you stayed.
ReplyDeleteOk. Its time for me to move out of Toledo Ohio! Yes. For sure. Beautiful homes! I want to go there.
ReplyDeleteI visited Beaufort several years ago for a conference and spent a few hours just wandering about. I recall walking past one of those old lovely homes where an elderly woman was watering her hydrangeas in the garden. She was wearing a wonderful straw hat, and we waved to each other as I walked by.
ReplyDeleteQUE PRECIOSIDAD DE CASA!!!
ReplyDeleteME ENCANTAN TODAS.
SALUDITOS
